Capstone Project Proposal
In line with Vision 2030, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is projected to undergo significant population, economic, and industrial
growth, over the next decade. King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) aspires to play a pivotal role in achieving this vision.

To play this role, KAEC is planning to establish a unique and ambitious private high institute to provide specialized training
programs and vocational education, with the goal of creating qualified Saudi workforce equipped with the necessary skills
and expertise to support the ever-growing economy, in both public and private domains.

As real estate developer, KAEC education strategy is to shift from an education service provider to an enabler/facilitator for third party education
service providers to invest and operate from KAEC.

KAEC is located in a remote area with a low population density (7,000 people, 50% of whom are laborers), making it financially challenging and
risky for a training service provider to invest solely in CAPEX and OPEX and operate from KAEC rather than a metropolitan city like Jeddah
(population of 6 million).

KAEC is phasing out of the role of education service provider in two stages to mitigate this challenge and attract investors. Phase 1 is to develop
the institute's business model over a five-year partnership period, in which the investor has skin in the game and shares both financial and
operational risks; phase 2 is to exit after five years and lease the building to the service provider assuming back its main role as a real estate
developer.

KAEC has fitted out a 9,000 square meter building near the port area with a capacity of 1,000 students for the training service provider to bring in
its expertise and education programs to operate.

A 5-year business plan with the following format and content will be prepared to validate the project's financial and economic viability:
