    2. Prestressed Concrete Section That Is Used In Construction

    Box girders are mostly used for long span bridges where the actual self-weight of the
    bridges has to keep minimum.

    One way to make a T-beam more efficient structurally is to use an inverted T-beam
    with a floor slab or bridge deck joining the tops of the beams.

    The top of the T-shaped cross section serves as a flange or compression


    member in resisting compressive stresses. The web (vertical section) of
    the beam below the compression flange serves to resist shear stress and
    to provide greater separation for the coupled forces of bending.

    Double T is a load-bearing structure that resembles two T-beams


    connected to each other side by side The strong bond of the flange
    (horizontal section) and the two webs (vertical members, also known as
    stems) creates a structure that is capable of withstanding high loads while
    having a long span

    The shape of I beams makes them excellent for unidirectional bending parallel to the web.
    The horizontal flanges resist the bending movement, while the web resists the shear
    stress.
    3. Construction Companies Practicing building structures composed of Prestressed concrete
    and their Projects.
    A. Prescon Philippines Inc.
    In 1967, Narciso Padilla founded Prescon Philippines, Inc. He brought for the first time in the
    country a new method of pre-stressed concrete construction known as the post-tensioning
    system. The Prescon System of post-tension was believed to be the most adaptable method for the
    country's then fledging construction industry and up to this day remains best suited for a nation
    positioned in the earthquake belt.

    used for floor and roof slab system. It is a concrete product with 5,500 psi. and with a pre-tensioned
    tendon as its reinforcements. It is basically a concrete joist which supports a suspended flooring and
    form part as a slab system.

    B. Godel Concrete and Systems Incorporated (GCS)


    Godel Concrete and Systems Incorporated (GCS) acquired the Post / Pre-stressed
    Department from Frey - Fil Corporation. The sale of PT/GT business includes the transfer of around
    100 highly experienced employees together with specialized equipment. The sale if for FFC to further
    enhance its General Contractor skills. GCS endeavors to serve the Philippine Construction Industry by
    endorsing internationally proven technologies and to add value when it comes to cost, time, quality,
    safety, and sustainability. GCS is a newly established business with 40% German Shareholder ship
    and providing service; Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Delivery and Services, Pre-and Post-Tensioning
    (PT) of Concrete Structures, not limited to but using both 12.7mm and 15.24mm strands.
