    The “West Side Story” is an impressive American Musical and that was

    inspired in “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare. It was filmed in the mid
    1950’s in the Upper West Side of New York City.
    The story setting was done in a theatre. It is all about two gangs, the Jet who
    was a group of white teenagers against the Sharks who was a group of Puerto
    Rican teenagers. It is a tale of forbidden love when Tony from Jet falls for Maria
    who was a Shark.
    The musical compositions was blended various styles like jazzy sounds, pop,
    classical and the music mirrors the visions of the scenes.
    The production’s role was to give life the story especially it is an musical
    play. Their music was the light of a play. I mean, it will not be that impressive
    without them, without their music.Especially the performers, they are the one
    who make the story work. They need to make the play relatable to the audience
    and should be able to work naturally.
    Lastly, the props, costume, lighting, script and all are worked successfully. It
    add realism and reflects the era, occasion and fancifulness to the characters.
    As the audience, they would love if I give attention, participation and
    response to their play. To be honest, I already love it although I just watched
    some clips. They are all great and talented. An impressive play, I must say.
