Answer the following questions. Explain briefly.
QUESTION # 1 - Do imperfections in the functioning of the sense organs affect learning?
Explain your answer
ANSWER: Yes, because every sense organs play a vital role to our body and connected to the
brain which one of its functions is to learn and even a small flaw in a single organ is enough to
affect you from learning, without these senses you can’t understand or even learn to solve the
problems affecting you.

QUESTION # 2 - How do feelings and emotions affect the learner’s learning?


ANSWER: Emotions such as feeling sad or happy may affect how students learn. That’s as
obvious as we experienced it in our elementary stage, even in high school level. When we are
sad and worried we tend not to lessen to the lectures of our teachers but when we are excited
and happy we usually participate in class interaction. Emotion has a substantial influence on the
cognitive processes in humans, including perception, attention, learning, memory, reasoning,
and problem solving. Emotion also facilitates encoding and helps retrieval of information
efficiently. Emotions can affect the learner at different stages of the learning process. As it has
been demonstrated, they can have a positive or negative impact on one's attention, motivation,
learning strategies and ability to self-regulate learning.

QUESTION #3 - Does each student have all these multiple intelligences? Explain your answer.
ANSWER: Yes, every student has a unique combination of intelligence. Each student has
multiple intelligences and various ways of learning. In other words, not all individuals learn best
from a single pedagogical approach.    Each individual possesses each intelligence to a degree,
but there is always a primary intelligence, or more dominant. One good example of this is some
students are good in academic, some are good in sports, some are good in arts, and the other
are good in different field such as e-games, digital art, acting, linguistic, or arithmetic.

QUESTION #4 - Do you believe that every child is a potential genius?


ANSWER: Yes, every child is a genius. Every child is a genius. At its core, the true meaning of
genius is to "give birth to the joy" that is in every child. Every child is born with that capacity.
Every child enters life with wonder, curiosity, wonder, spontaneity, vitality, suppleness and many
other features of a joyful being. An infant has twice as many brain connections as an adult.

QUESTION #5 - Research on the following learning styles given by Harvey F. Silver.


ANSWER:
a. Mastery Style (Sensing-Thinking) - Mastery learning is a set of group-based,
individualized, teaching and learning strategies based on the premise that students will
achieve a high level of understanding in a given domain if they are given enough time.
Sensitivity To: Acts, details, physical actions, steps.
Inclination For: Remembering, describing, manipulating, ordering.
Ability To: Organize, report, build, plan and execute projects.

b. Interpersonal Style (Sensing-Feeling) - These types of students learn best through


communication with others, whether it's verbal or non-verbal. Social learners love being
around people, working in groups, teams and overall thrives through social interactions.
Sensitivity To: Feelings, people, gut reactions, experiences.
Inclination For: Supporting, personalizing, expressing emotions, experiential learning.
Ability To: Build trust and rapport, empathize, respond, teach.

c. Understanding Style (Intuitive-Thinking) - Technically, an individual’s learning style refers


to the preferential way in which the student absorbs, processes, comprehends and retains
information. Individual learning styles depend on cognitive, emotional and environmental
factors, as well as one's prior experience. 
Sensitivity To: Gaps/flaws, questions, patterns, ideas.
Inclination For: Analysing, testing/proving, examining, connecting .
Ability To: Argue, research, develop theories, explain.

d. Self-Expressive Style (Intuitive-Feeling) - The Self-Expressive style learner looks for


images implied in learning; uses feelings and emotions to construct new ideas and products;
and judges the learning process according to its originality, aesthetics, and capacity to
surprise or delight.
Sensitivity To: Hunches, images, possibilities, inspiration.
Inclination For: Predicting/speculating, imagining, generating ideas, developing insights.
Ability To: Develop original solutions, think metaphorically, articulate ideas, express and
create.
