Why Is Cyberbullying So Hurtfully

Cyberbullying is more harmful than face-to-face bullying for many

reasons:
• Permanence: insults, comments or images can be preserved
from bullied person or by others so that the victim can read or
view over and over and the damage is dealt again with each
reading or to visit.
• Audience Size: The size of the audience that can view or
access the Harmful material increases the victim's humiliation.
• Familiarity: Many young people are friends or know their
cyberbully through school or other personal contacts, increasing
the potential for embarrassment and humiliation.
• Social networks: social networking sites such as Facebook
and mySpace allow cyberbullies to campaign against a particular
person which can involve many others.
• Speed: The speed with which malicious messages can reach
a large audience .it also plays an important role in making
cyberbullying so detrimental to targets.

How to prevent Cyberbullying

ever being cyberbullied, there are things you can do
together to reduce the likelihood they will be targeted. This
includes implementing safety measures as well as having
ongoing conversations about cyberbullying. You need to
discuss what cyberbullying is, the risks associated with
