In the delivery of health care, good cooperation can have an immediate and beneficial impact on the
safety and result of patients and clients. It is critical to have effective teams. When a doctor, nurse, or
other health practitioner in any health organization is only able to provide high-quality care that meets
the needs of his or her patients. This can only be happen if all health worker are cooperating.
2. Suppose you are organizing health programmes for (a) the teenagers, (b) the elderly, and (c) the
farmers in your community.
For instance, we are supposed to organize health programs for (a) the teenagers, (b) the elderly, and
(c) farmers in our community:
Social Activities Health Programs for Elderly (community gardening, Dancing, Fellowship etc.)
Prior in organizing these programs, it involves preparation that includes knowing the goals of the
community in making an activity or experience. In order to the program will be a successful one, as an
organizer or a student nurse organizer you have to communicate and collaborate with other people in
that community. To be able to achieve you may ask the LGU or Barangays to help you organize the
programme.
3. What would be the responsibility of each health team member in each of these programs?
Nurses or a midwife can deliver a variety of health education to the adolescent group in this
program, such as mental disorders, sexually transmitted infections, diet and weight management, teen
pregnancy, scholastic issues, and suicide. The environmental health professionals will assist in the
planning of the sessions, while the drug dispensers will educate the youth on proper drug usage.
Elderly social health program, nurses in this program can arrange a recreational activities or social
program for the elderly. It is not unusual for the older people to suffer from loneliness and loss of
companionship. The health aides can provide a helping hand to the elderly and assist them in taking care
of themselves and also their needs.
The profession of health education is concerned with informing people about their health.
Environmental health, physical health, social health, emotional health, intellectual health, and spiritual
health are all aspects of this profession. It can be defined as the principle through which individuals and
groups of people learn to behave in ways that promote, maintain, or restore health. In the food security,
It is the duty of the health care workers specifically health inspector to evaluate how safely the food was
made. Wearing of personal protective equipment is one of the health education health care workers can
do. In elderly social health program, encourage these elderly to volunteer to the program, educate them
what are the possible influence and impact it would made and why they should join these kinds of
program.
Community health workers also build individual and community capacity by increasing health
knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as outreach, community education,
informal counselling, social support and advocacy. Community health workers can play a variety of roles
in their communities, including responsibilities for various parts of service delivery and the health
programs. Community workers can act as a liaison between health services and the community in order
to increase service quality and cultural competence. Education is very important aspect of nursing in
today’s health care system moving towards home health care and early discharge planning. Educating
patient and family is one of the nurse’s responsibility and accountability. The role of nurse as educator
changes according to facility or specialized unit but education remains major component of nursing
profession.
