5G-NR support ............................................................................................................................................... 5
Spotlight 5G NSA support............................................................................................................................. 6
TETRA support ................................................................................................................................................. 6
• Technology improvements:
o Support added for TETRA technology measurements, using scanner and MS
devices, for Rohde & Schwarz SmartONE (ROMES4).
o Support for 5G VNFs (AMF and SMF) for NAS signaling in the Call Flow
Viewer
• Platform improvements
o New Terrain Profile feature, to display the terrain profile along a vector,
using 2 modes: primary serving sector to data bin, and point-A to point-B.
o Cellrefs updates to support TETRA_Site and TETRA_Cell row definitions
5G-NR support
• Support added for information elements at A3 event as attributes.
• Further attribute support for Rohde & Schwarz SmartONE measurements, for
number of RBs per second, and per slot.
• Support has been added for additional NR-RRC messages to the Call Flow Viewer,
to support 5G-SA-NR call flow visualization, between UE and gNB nodes.
• Support added for AMF and SMF virtual network functions in Call Flow Viewer,
allowing MM and SM NAS messages to be visualized:
• New NR NSA KPIs have been created, in addition to existing LTE KPIs.
• Drilldown for RACH, Bearer Drop, LTE to NSA Fail and NSA to LTE fail events
TETRA support
• Support has been added for TETRA measurements using Rohde & Schwarz
SmartONE (ROMES4) tool.
• Definitions for TETRA_Site and TETRA_Cell have been updated in the cellrefs to
support sector resolution using unique combinations of Location Area and MCCH.
• Support has been added for 48 new TETRA attributes and events.
• Full support for ff2.43 has been added, with the following additions:
o Nemo Measurement Event Info (MEI) message, setting attributes:
o Nemo_LTE_UE_RRC_MeasReport_EventId
• Added support for FiveG Scan Result > New Radio Signal Identifier subframe.
• Support has been added for TETRA scanner and MS measurements. (Note:
customers using ActixOne will also require the ActixOne. This requires
TETRA_Site and TETRA_Cell rows to be defined in cellrefs, using LocationArea and
MCCH for sector resolution (see Platform Improvement section).
o TETRA Scan Result > Meas Rate, into Message Browser only
• Support added for SQA Result and SQA Extended Result, setting attributes:
o PESQ_Score
o PESQ_Score_Silent
o PESQ_Score_Speech
o Speech_Signal_Attenuation
o PESQ_LQ
o PESQ_MOS_LQO
o MOS_LQO_DL
o MOS_LQO_UL
• Support added for Ping Status message, giving intermediate PING test results
during an active PING test sequence (whilst not impacting overall Task events):
• Support added for the Mobile Status message (v5 and v6), setting attributes
relating to the Android temperature monitoring (Fahrenheit scale) and Thermal
Status code:
o UE_CPU_Temperature_F
o UE_Skin_Temperature_F
o UE_ThermalStatusCode, with possible values:
Event Detection
• Support added for transitions between 5G-SA and 5G-NSA (and vice versa).
Generic
• Improvements made to setting NR RRC attributes at the A3 event:
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_eventid
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_hysteresis
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_includeBeamMeasurements
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_maxReportCells
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_Offset_rsrp
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_Offset_rsrq
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_Offset_sinr
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_reportAmount
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_reportInterval
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_reportOnLeave
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_reportQuantityCell_rsrp
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_reportQuantityCell_rsrq
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_reportQuantityCell_sinr
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_reportType
o NR_RRC_ReportConfigNR_rsType
Format Groups
• Support has been added for NR 5G NAS MM5G NSSAI Info into the format group
for QC_Log_Code
• The NR NSA template includes all previous LTE KPIs for Call Event Explorer and
Radio Network Explorer pages (except LTE 4G – 3G/2G Neighbor Analysis)
• New KPIs have been created (Category = NR NSA), in addition to the existing LTE
KPIs, in the Summary Dashboard, with the initial attribute view showing
NR_UE_RSRP_0:
o NR NSA – Drops
o Percent of LTE_NRRRC_Drop events, out of all NSA releases
o Drilldown enabled
• Additional binned attributes can be added to the map at the user’s discretion.
• Call Event Explorer lists individual NR SCG cells, with the event count for each:
• Failure events include the ability to drill down into a window either side of the
individual events, for further analysis with all the signalling loaded:
• When selected, a new viewing component window is opened with a grid depicting
the terrain height on the Y-axis and distance along a map vector on the X-axis.
• Once the vector is drawn on the map, the user simply needs to click the Draw
Terrain button on the submenu, and the Terrain Profile displays the terrain
with an adaptive zoom granularity, displaying the Lat/Lon/Altitude as the user
moves the mouse over the grid in the Terrain Profile:
• Clicking any point on the Terrain Profile grid will highlight a corresponding point
along the A-B vector on the map, showing where that point is. The user only
needs to click anywhere in the grid, and its distance position is highlighted:
• The X-axis maximum value represents the entire terrain vector drawn on the map,
and the scale of each x-axis grid is adaptive depending on the length of the terrain
vector, using a terrain sample size of 200, 400 or 800 depending on whether the
terrain vector is <= 2Km, <= 5Km, >5Km.
• To zoom into the current view of the terrain on the Terrain Profile viewer, click
and drag a bounding box, and simply right-click to return to the previous zoom
depth (continual right-clicks will eventually lead back to the entire view).
• The map zoom depth can be controlled independently to the Terrain Profile zoom
depth to allow alternative terrain vectors to be drawn.
• If multiple Terrain Profile windows are opened, the map will synchronize to the
most recently selected Terrain Profile window.
• Advance notice is given that from the end of December 2020, Actix Analyzer shall
no longer support the Keysight Nemo .dt1 and .fs1 formats. Support for Nemo
tool data formats shall be limited to the .NMF (2G-4G) and .NMFS (5G) formats.
