PREPERATION

PRELIMINARY QUESTIONS
1. How do you best address this unethical stature of Wanda?
I preferred letter D as a response to Wanda's unethical stature. I will politely tell her that I'm
uncomfortable with gossip and personal issues that have no place at work. I will also distance
myself if she continues.
2. What could be the possible result of your decision?
There's a possibility that she would spread gossips about me for rejecting her but at least I know
deep inside that my conscience is clear. I will still continue doing my job at my finest with a
smile in my face because I know that I didn't hurt anyone's feeling.
3. Justify the cause or causes that prompt for you to arrive at a possible decision.
I didn't feel hesitation from my prompt decision to declined Wanda's unethical stature for the
reason that I don't want to be involved in any troubles in my work placed for the reason that I'm
striving hard at work for the sake of my family and not for them. I want a friendly and
harmonized environment that is free from toxicity, who won't like that kind of setting in a work
placed? Peace of mind is what I need and causing any trouble is not my thing.
4. Do you believe that such decision can be linked to your integrity at work? If so, why or why
not?
Yes, I strongly agree regarding to the question, due to the fact that in every decisions that I make
it will only reflect on what kind of person I am. Ignoring and confronting Wanda my pure
intention in a well-mannered way that I'm not fan in gossiping one's life and sharing her my
confidential issues has only reflected that I do have ethic in socializing.

2. Tell how the headline relates to the photo of the article.
The photo of the article was clueless and doesn't give emphasize to the headline.
4. Study the statement that follows. Explain what it means.
The statement was clear enough to be understand that anything that we read and see in social
medias were not true, we must check first if the source was reliable enough to be trusted and
make sure that its publicity was not outdated in order for us to spread a news with full of liability
and credibility on its purposes. Spreading fake news will just ruin the true essence of the
message. As an action for it, they created lynch mobs out to certain people, turning them into
army of character assassins, who can be unleashed, with just one meme, destroy an idea, a
person, or an institution. For me it was right and just, people who were fan at making fake news
deserves to be treated like a trash.
4. In your opinion, how is this article relevant to the topic of communication ethics?
The article ignored the real essence of ethics in communication, due to its unreliable and
untrusted source including also the inaccurate content of the article that has widely spread via
social media. Knowing that we people will suddenly believe on what we read and saw through
scanning in google and in our social media accounts not making an effort to identify if it was true
or not. I hope that this will be an eye opener for us to be vigilant from gaining accurate news or
information that deserves to be recognized and spread for the betterment of our ways in fields in
communication.
