1 Safty instructions

Before use this machine, please make sure you have read and understand the
following safety precautions, and operate the pile driver in the right way.

1. Crane usage warning :

1.1 Prohibiting the use of the crane to sling long boat and short boat.

1.2 Prohibiting the use of the crane inclined to drag pile.

1.3 Controlling strictly the lifting weights and angle.

1.4 No standing in the lifting range while crane working;

1.5 Hoisting wire rope around the roller minimum four laps

1.6 Inspecting hoisting and pile hanging wire rope frequently, replacing it once wire
broken;

1.7 Adjusting crane boom length in horizontal position; fixing the crane boom with
stationery shaft and bolt after adjusting the length;
1.8 Slewing bearing connecting bolts must be checked and tightened regularly.
Under the general working conditions, the new machine must be checked for
bolt pre-tightening force at the first 100 hours, and afterwards monthly. Keeping
enough pre-tightening force, preloaded torque 560N.m. Replacing the bolts at
10.9 grade level high strength bolts every five years or per 10,000 working
hours.

2. Machine moving fix warning

2.1 Forbidening single long boat moving or two long boat moving reversely when
Long Boat grounded;

2.2 Moving long boat under one's command, ensuring without obstacles and
unpressurized facilities under and around

2.3 Long and short boat must fall on the flat ground, without hard surface objects
(especially on pile pier), Machine up-and down operation must be under

someone’s command, strictly control the machine gradient under 2° scope


(gradienter bubble keeps within the first big circle, namely within 0.5 scope)
( During two long boat in the same level, legs’ spread difference not exceeding
150mm), otherwise the machine body and cantilever may be cracked by
distortion.

3. Construction process warning

3.1 The X and Y of the first pile must be measured by suspension wire for every pile
position, ensuring pile to be pressed in ground vertically (gradient less than
0.2%), otherwise it will change pile direction and partial break pile;

3.2 Cliping pile and leveling machine before the pile into ground, piling less than 2m;
the operator could loose the pile and fine adjust the machine level, Pile soil
pressure than 2m pile is still not vertical, should pull out the pile and adjust for
vertical pressure

3.3 When cliping the pile, clamp must clip whole nip, prohibiting part cliping pile,
part suspended, otherwise it will damage clamp.

3.4 Using the pile pole to send pile, not clip such pile pole convex parts, otherwise it
will damage plier. When pile hanging hook not separated from, pile pressing and
hanging must be cooperated closely, hook descending speed must be higher than
the speed of piling.

3.5 Only during the main hydraulic cylinder out in the state, the vice piling cylinder
could stretch out, otherwise you will break the seat of main oil cylinder and
cause serious accidents.

3.6 Never allow operate handles during connect pile and matchups, to avoid pile
drop and hurt .

3.7 The unevenness of field and machine lifting may not make angle of swing
beyond its maximum angle (6 °). Inspecting oil pressure and temperature, if find
abnormal, stop processing immediately. In piling process especially process of
side piling, float operation not allowed (namely machine support by pile, long

boat wheel out of touch from rail surface), otherwise, if appear skid or pile
broken phenomenon, the pile will fall from the sky, and big the accident will
happen.

3.8 When pile pressure reduce, must supply immediately, in order to make the

piling oil pressure above requirement. Otherwise it can appear skid, even serious
accident.

3.9 Exceed 80% pressure piling capacity construction, must ensure that the site
doesn't sink.

3.10 Hydraulic system pressure must be strictly controlled in the rated range;

3.11 Prohibiting piling the pile without steel pipe cap, otherwise not only will broke
the pile, even serious accident will happen;

3.12 Reliable counterweight placed, balance the weight of both sides required;

3.13 No standing under the piling machine during piling process.

4.Maintenance warning

4.1 Before off duty must clear and clean the pile machine every shift, after the
completion of construction, wash the pile machine before transit, to ensure the
pile machine clear and clean.

4.2 Requesting a foreman responsible, and carry out each division of responsibility
to everyone. Adding the lubrication to necessary place before the start of every
shift,. Checking every part of equipment are in normal condition,

4.3 In construction process, each division responsible for monitoring equipment


operation status of each part; if find novel phenomena, stop working and
overhaul immediately;

4.4 correction and fix of clamp are required before first use of pile driver, ensure
pillar fixed clamp and guide piles in the X and Y to parallel (vertical suspension
measurement, parallel error is not more than 0.15%), otherwise will pressure
and broken pile.

4.5 Except for construction welding, prohibiting long boat take iron welding process,
otherwise it will damage stands cylinder piston rod.

4.6 If the first usage, the oil in the tank should be changed after working one month,
and the tank should be cleaned. Then, change the oil every half year (clear the tank
and discharge the old oil in the pipeline and components if changing the oil).
4.7 Return-oil filter must be changed when return-oil pressure is higher than 0.3
Mpa must change.

4.8 Use N68 anti-wear hydraulic oil if temperature is more than 200C. Use N46
anti-wear hydraulic oil if temperature is more than 200C.
4.9 When stopping operations, putting long & short boat grounded, keeping the
machine in level (bubble of gradienter in the first big circle, namely 0.5 range),
clamping box in the lowest positions, putting the cantilever pile horizontally, and
power cut;

4.10 Non-professionals are not allowed to adjust hydraulic system and any
component for electrical system;

4.11 The operator for main machine and crane must pass a professional training from
manufacturer before going on duty.

5.Disassembly transport warning

5.1 Cleaning the peripheral connectors with diesel oil or clean cloth before remove
hydraulic hoses for jobsite transfer, sealing the oil pipe with block or pipe cap
after unload immediately.

5.2 Cleaning peripheral connector with diesel oil or cloth before assemblying
hydraulic system and unloading block or pipe cap, ensuring the hydraulic system
unpolluted during disassembling process.

5.3 Loading the sleepers under the machine body beam, protecting the pipe and
cable from damage.

5.4 Before starting machine, checking whether tubing connection correct and

tightened after assembling, start motor to check whether the motor inverse.

5.5 Paying attention during transit since the facility is super-long, ultra-high,
overweight;

5.6 Under normal condition, all circuits of the hydraulic system are under extreme
pressure. When inspecting for leaks, use a small piece of cardboard,wood or
metal to locate leaks. SMALL (PINHOLE) LEAKS CAN BE DANGEROUS IF
CONTACT WITH SKIN OR EYES IS MADE. Wear approved safety glasses or
face shield, gloves, hard hat, safety shoes and work clothes during all inspection
and maintenance procedures. Before disconnecting hydraulic holes, the extreme
pressure in the circuits of the hydraulic system must be released , or else the
extreme pressure causes injury or death to persons.

3 Basic Structure & Operating Principle
3-1 Basic Structure of ZYC180B-B Pile Driver
As shown in Fig 1: The pile driver consists of 14 parts.

The structure and operating principle of the major parts are described as following.

3–2 Pressing Mechanism


It is the major working mechanism of the pile driver which is used for operations of clamping
and pressing piles. The structure consists of pressing hydraulic cylinder, clamping box and
clamping hydraulic cylinder which is shown in Fig 2.
Firstly, main pressing cylinders return and the pressing box is elevated to the high position;
after the precast pile is hoisted into the central hole of clamping box, four clamping cylinders
extend to clamp the pile; then, operate the hand shank of pressing valve, pressing cylinder extends
to press the pile into the foundation by the induced pressure; after one stroke, the clamping
cylinder returns and the pile is released. Subsequently, returns again, and the pressing box is
elevated again, the whole process likes the following:
The operating is cycled in turn, that is, clamping pressing releasing return
clamping; so the precast pile is pressed into the foundation successively.

☆Notes:
Notes: The guide frame is connected by four connecting boards (as shown the part No.5 in
Fig 2). During pressing pile, one of top connecting boards is removed for convenience for entering
pile. If the clamping box is needed to be changed, the guide frame should be fixed to main
machine or the boarder and corner mechanism, then the two bottom boards be removed. If the

whole press pile mechanism is needed to be moved, the four connecting boards must be connected
on the guide frame to avoid the press mechanism being broken.
3–3 Border & Corner Mechanism
If border pile or corner pile is to be disposed, the pressing beam is shifted on the pillar of
border pile and fixed by set bolt and axle pin, so the pressing can be processed more than 640mm
far away from the border; meanwhile, the corner pile can be disposed, and the minimal distance of
corner pile is not more than 1350mm. The structure is shown in Fig 3.

☆Notes:
Notes: during pressing corner pile, additional weight F2, F4 and F5 are placed at
corresponding place. The max pressure of boarder and corner can not overload 1200kN, or else the
machine is broken.
3–4 Elevating Traction Mechanism
The structure and the operating principle are shown in Fig 4.

1. Elevating Mechanism
It consists of four end frames shown in the figure 4. One end of each end frame inserts into the
machine body. Every two ends are fixed by the beam loading the additional weight, and another
end is equipped with four hydraulic cylinders. The oil cylinder jacket is hinged to four sets of
traction wheel carriers. The machine body is elevated with the extension of the cylinder jacket and
vice versa.
2. Longitudinal Shift Mechanism
It consists of wheel carriers, hydraulic cylinders and long boats shown in the figure 4. The
pistons of two hydraulic cylinders are hinged to two long boats, and two canisters are hinged to the
traction wheel carrier. When the piston rod extends or shortens, the machine body and long boat
will make the longitudinal relative motion.
3. Transverse Shift & Slewing Mechanism
It consists of slewing table, traction wheel carriers, two short boats, two transverse shift
hydraulic cylinders, central axles and resetting mechanism shown in the figure 4. Two central axles

are universal-jointed with the machine body. The slewing table and the hinged four sets of traction
wheel carriers, two short boats are hanged on the central axles which can rotate and swing around
the axles. Therefore, when the two transverse hydraulic cylinders extend or shorten together, the
machine body and slewing table will make a transverse relative motion. If one cylinder extends,
another will shorten to make the relative rotation.
4. Completion of Continual Traction & Slewing Motion
The continual traction and slewing motion can be fulfilled by using the above three sets of
mechanisms. Based on the top view of Fig 4, the following is the brief introduction:
Longitudinal Traction:
The oil cylinders of end frames extend. The machine body is elevated; long boat falls to the
ground; short boat is lifted off → oil cylinder of long boat retracts to draw the wheel barrow and
machine body right-shift until the complete retraction of long boat cylinder; one stroke completes
→ oil cylinder of end frame retracts; machine body is down; short boar falls to the ground → oil
cylinder of end frame retracts continually; long boat is lifted off → oil cylinder of long boat
extends to push the long boat right-shift until one stroke completes → oil cylinder of end frame
extends; machine body is elevated; short boat is lifted off → ……
Transverse Traction:
The oil cylinder of end frame retracts. The machine body is down; long boat is lifted off; short
boat falls to the ground →oil cylinders of short boats retract together to draw the wheel barrow,
slewing table and machine body shift until one stroke of oil cylinder of short boat completes → oil
cylinder of end frame extends; machine body is elevated; long boat falls to the ground; short boat
is lifted off →oil cylinders of short boats extend together to push the short boat up-shift until one
stroke of oil cylinder of short boat completes → oil cylinder of end frame retracts; machine body is
down; long boat lifted off; short boat falls to the ground → ……
Slewing Motion:
The oil cylinders of two short boats are operated according to the transverse traction mode to
make the slewing motion by movements to the different directions.

3–5 Hydraulic System


1. General Instruction
The principle of Hydraulic system are shown in Fig.5.The host machine is consist of one set
of constant power variable pump P1 and one set of constant power variable pump P2, four groups
of manual operation multiple directional control valve A、B、C、D and 21pcs of hydraulic cylinder
which make accomplish the above functions. Pump P1 、 Pump P2 and four groups of manual
operation multiple directional control valve A、B、C、D and pressure relief valve F1 are in charge
of supplying pressure oil for host machine, make it accomplish pressing pile 、 clamping pile 、
jacking、walking、retracting legs works.One set of constant power variable pump P3 and manual
operation multiple directional control valve E、spill valve F2 make the crane accomplish lifting
works.

2. Adjustment of Hydraulic Pump
The pump has been adjusted according to the matched power before leaving factory. In principle,
the customer is forbidden to adjust freely. If the oil pump needs to change, it should be ordered
according to the power and rotary speed of electric motor. The manufacturer should adjust the
pump.

3–6 Electric System


Fig.6、Fig.7、 Fig.8 are electric system schematic diagram.
The electric system is equipped with short-circuit protection、overload protection、open-phase
protection and ground protection and so on protective measures,control power supply are all
220V,3 phase 5 wire connection.

3–7 Crane
The crane consists of arm system, winding system, gyroscopic system and hydraulic control
system.
1. Arm System & Telescoping of Arm
Arm system consists of giant arm, telescoping arm, modifying amplitude oil cylinders, and
driving system of telescoping arm. Firstly the arm is set level generally when the arm is in
telescoping. After releasing two pins fixing the moving arm, turn the operating hand shank of
multi-channel valve to control the rotation of telescoping motor, so the moving arm can make
relative motion to fixed arm, and arm lengths can be fulfilled to satisfy different requirements.
☆ Note: Telescoping operation must be processed under the condition of the included angle
between arm and transverse direction being less then 10◦! After the setup of arm length, the
telescoping arm must be fixed by pins and fixing bolts.
2. Winding System
Winding system consists of hydraulic motor, internal decelerator, winding brake drum, and wire
rope for winding, as well as the assembly pulley.
3. Gyroscopic System
Gyroscopic system consists of slewing hydraulic motor, transmission shaft, pinion, and slewing
bear. The slewing bear is installed on the stator frame linked with machine body. The upper
slewing part is connected with stator frame of crane. The hydraulic motor drives the pinion to
gyrate around the gear of slewing bear to drive the whole stator frame (including arm and
operating table, etc.) for the gyratory motion of crane.
4. Hydraulic System
The principle of hydraulic control system is shown in Fig 5. The hydraulic oil exported by
hydraulic pump 2 is delivered to the crane part by slewing joint. The oil pressure of system is
controlled by the flooding valve on the multi-channel valve and is rated in 18MPa.
Manual multi-channel valve D can fulfill the control of amplitude, winding, slewing and
telescoping of arms.

4 Operating Instruction
4-1 Preparation before Start-up
1.If the wire rope and other ropes of crane is fast & reliable;
2.If the oil level of oil tank is normal;
3.If the voltage is normal (no more than 400V, no less than 350V);
4.If there is electric leakage;
5.If hydraulic pipeline has leakage.
4-2 Operating Procedure
Referred to Fig 9, hand shanks of three sets of manual multi-channel reversing valves and four
electric buttons are placed on the panel of pressing operating table. Operators apply them to
process pressing working. One set of operating hand shanks of manual multi-channel reversing
valves is set on the panel of crane operating table which can fulfill the hoisting.

1. Start
Firstly, turn on the air switch in electric power distribution cabinet. Pay attention that all hand
shanks of multi-channel valves must set on the middle discharging position; press the button on the
panel of pressing operation to start the pressing hydraulic pump unit; turn to the “pressing”
position if no abnormal after no-load operation for 3 minutes; after clamping box falls to the end,
pressure increases, observe if the pressure on the pressure gauge labeled “System Oil Pressure”
accords with the requirement of 25MPa; if pressure is normal, return the clamping hand shank to
the releasing position to observe if the oil pressure is 5MPa; if it is normal, turn the hand shank to
the middle position.
2. Positioning
Four hand shanks for traction combining with four hand shanks for elevating can make the
longitudinal or transverse shift of pile driver for the aim of pile positioning.
3. Leveling
In order to guarantee the perpendicularity of the pressed pile, the pile driver body must be
leveled before pressing. Through operating four hand shanks for elevating combining with the
observation on the zero-point adjustment of omnibearing level indicator on the panel, the leveling
can be completed.
4. Pressing
The operator can complete the pressing working only by operating four hand shanks for pressing.
The operating principle is referred to the introduction of pressing table described previously.
☆ Note: All hand shanks of multi-channel valves should turn to the middle “Discharge”
position at any time if there is no need to turn the hand shanks for certain operations, for
energy-saving and reduction of heat of oil liquor.
☆ Note: After the pressing pressure being more than 8MPa, hand shank for pressing must be
turned on the lifting position for 1-2 times rapidly before the operation of releasing hand shank,
2-3 seconds each time. After the slow release of pressing pressure, the releasing hand shank can be
turned, otherwise the great impact will be induced.
☆ Note: Operate the rapid pressing hand shank to be turned to the rapid pressing position
under the low resistance, process rapid pressing on the differential motion mode, otherwise turn to
the slow pressing position to make the great power for pressing.

5. Hoisting
(1) Start the electric motor of oil pump with the button on the panel.
(2) Operate the gyroscopic hand shank to make the arm of crane in the lifting position.
Operate amplitude hand shank according to the size of hoisting weight to make the arm on an
appropriate height. Operate winding hand shank to release the hook for lifting pile or other
weights.
☆ Note: The loading oil pressure of crane must be limited in the range of 18MPa.
6. Extend and retract Legs
During assambly and disassambly the driver, the legs need to be extended and retracted. Firstly,
the vavle Y4 to control the pressing pile is pushed to supply oil site. Secondly, operate the vavles D
to control legs to extend and retract.

4-3 Notices
1. Hook of crane must be confirmed detaching from pile devices before pressing, otherwise the
great accident of crane will be induced. Binding must be reliable in the process of lifting. Staff
should be away from the lifted pile as far as possible.
2. The coil number of turns of winding wire rope on the drum is not less than 4.
3. Any person is forbidden standing around the crane in the process of lifting.
4. Winding wire rope and lifting wire rope are examined at any time. If any steel wire is broken,
the rope must be changed immediately.
5. Hoisting weight on the horizon level of arm is not more than the rated value (10kN) to
prevent from overload of arm.
6. The hands and feet of staff are forbidden extending between pressing table and machine body
in the process of pressing.
7. Stopping more than 4 hours, no-load run must be proceeded for 3 minutes. If there is no
abnormal, it can work.
8. The start-up interval between two electric motors of hydraulic pumps must be more than 8
seconds.
9. In the process of longitudinal traction, hand shanks X3 and X4 must be operated in the same
time and direction, and any single or negative-direction operation is forbidden. If one of the both
longitudinal-shift hydraulic cylinders telescopes to the end position, another one must stop the
telescoping immediately, otherwise the accident will be happened damaging to the parts.
10. To prevent from injury by falling pile, hand shanks are forbidden acting at random in the
process of pile extension.
11. The perpendicularity of pile and level of machine body are examined at any time in the

process of pressing.
12. The operation of hand shanks and buttons must be smooth, and don’t overexert.
13. The oil pressure is examined at any time in the process of working, as well as the oil
temperature. (Max pressing oil pressure is 24MPa, Max oil pressure of crane is 18MPa, and oil
temperature is 35◦-75◦) Any abnormal condition must be resolved after stop.
14. Traction short boat and long boat must fall to the relative leveling ground without any
small-area of hard pieces.
15. When stopping the working, short boar should fall to the ground, and long boat should fall to
the ground somewhat. The clamping box is released to the lowest position, and the power supply is
switched off.
16. During hoisting, prohibit from overloading. The diver must observe the performance
parameters of the crane and the indicator tray of the arm to hoist weights, or else the safety
incident will happen.

5 Maintenance & Failure Disposal

5-1 Routine attention and regular maintenance


1.Persist on regular lubrication (Referred to Schedule of Lubrication).
2.Clear dust and soil of machine body after the daily working.
3.Often examine if fixed bolts are released, and pay especial attention to fixed bolts the
pressing frame and elevating cylinder. The torques of multiple bolts must be assured to be
even.
4.Specially keep the cleanness of hydraulic system. Add oil by special splashing oil tanker
with the filtration accuracy being not less than 20μ.
5.If the first usage, the oil in the tank should be changed after working one month, and the
tank should be cleaned. Then, change the oil every half year (clear the tank and discharge
the old oil in the pipeline and components if changing the oil).
6.Dismounting the hydraulic components in a clean place.
7.Keep return oil filter clean. If the value of return oil pressure gauge is more than 0.4MPa,
the oil return filter core should be cleaned or changed. Clean it one time every month.
8.All binding bolts on the joints and components should be screwed down every month.
9.If the oil liquor is whitish and turbid, oil must be changed immediately, otherwise the
hydraulic components will be damaged in the early stage.

6 Disassembly, Assembly & Transport

If pile driver changes the building site, it should be disassembly into five parts(host
machine, pressing cylinder, longitudinal shift mechanism, transverse shift mechanism, counter
weight) for the convenient transportation. The disassembly and assembly procedures are as below:
1.Use crane(own crane) hoisting away all the counter weight.
2.Lifting Clamping pile box, shut down main pump electrical machine, push pressing pile
hand shank to put clamping pile box to the lowest at ease, then dismantle the hinged axis which
connecting pressing pile cylinder, and make pressing pile cylinder piston rod fully retract, then
dismantle the 2pcs of pressing pile cylinder.
3.Lifting away all the counter weight beams.
4.Uprising host machine, move host machine to one end of long boat, and then fall host
machine, make short boat fall to the ground, dismantle center axis cardboard, then can dismantle
short boat.
5.Uprising host machine, move host machine to one end of longitudinal shift mechanism, and
use the same method to dismantle the other transverse shift mechanism.
6.Pour into platform lorry to the bottom of host machine, place sleeper, slowly make host
machine fall on the platform lorry.
7.Dismantle leg bulb gland bolts, retract supporting oil cylinder to minimum, pull out leg
fixing axis, turn on telescopic oil supply operating handle, then pull shrink multiway valve
operating handle to have all legs retract to the inside of host machine and fixing hinged pin.
8.Push crane side pile legs to sides of host machine and fasten them, turn side pile bracket and
fasten them.
9.Lifting long boats to platform lorry.
10.Keep the crane arm level, fall on to support frame, hitch the 2pcs of fixation hook to avoid
wiggle.
11.The rest part is host machine,boundary dimension L× W×H=10.75M ×3.34M×3.1M,
please refer to Fig.10.
12.Turn off the power, dismantle hydraulic static pile driver's power line, put away tools, tidy
up the place, lock doors and windows, cover the raincloth.
While on new jobsite,the assembly procedure is just opposite of the above procedure.First to
arrange long boat,then pour into platform lorry......
