LABORATORY EXERCISE NO. 1
THE HUMAN ORGANISM

Name:Luis Bautista Section:7 Date Submitted: 08/26/21

I. INTRODUCTION
The human body consists of different organs that work together to carry out human
activities and sustain life. An understanding of its anatomy and physiology is important to
have an understanding of how it carries out the important processes needed for survival
and reproduction.

II. GIVE THE 6 STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL ORGANIZATIONS THAT MAKEUP AN

ORGANISM. BRIEFLY DESCRIBE EACH.

Chemical level atoms combine to form molecules. Cellular level cells are made of up
molecules. Tissue level tissues consist of similar types of cells. Organ level organs are made
up of different types of tissues. Organ system level organ systems consist of different
organs that work together closely. Organismal level human organisms are made up of
many organ systems.

III. ANATOMY OF THE HUMAN BODY

Below is an illustration of the major organs of the human body. Identify each part with an
arrow and label with the corresponding number for each part.

1. Brain 4. Heart 7. Spleen 10. Kidneys 13. Urinary

2. Spinal cord 5. Liver 8. Stomach 11. Small intestine bladder
3. Lungs 6. Pancreas 9. Gallbladder 12. Large intestine
