Skin Wash affected area with water. Get medical attention if symptoms
persist or develop.
Inhalation Remove casualty to fresh air. Give artificial respiration if casualty is not
breathing, or give oxygen if breathing is difficult. Get medical attention if
symptoms persist or develop.
Ingestion Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth out with clean water and give
casualty plenty of water to drink as this will dilute chemical strength in
the stomach. Get medical attention if symptoms persist or develop.
Additional Comments A copy of this MSDS should be given to the person providing medical
attention. Alkaline chemicals may continue to cause damage after
exposure, so treat casualty according to symptoms and monitor closely
until fully recovered.

Section 5 – FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Flammability Not flammable.
Flash Point Not flammbale.
Combustion Hazards Calcium Oxide and Sulfur Oxides.
Explosion Hazards Minimal, but dust particles of any materials at critical concentrations can
be sensitive to ignition by electrostatic discharge.
HMIS Rating (0 to 4) Health = 1 Flammability = 0 Reactivity = 0
NFPA Rating (0 to 4) Health = 1 Flammability = 0 Reactivity = 0
Fire-Fighting Procedures Raise the alarm and then tackle the fire if safe to do so.
Extinguishing Media Material is not combustible. Use fire-fighting equipment that is suitable
for the surrounding fire.
