    THE CODE OF ETHICS FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS

    Write your answers here for the CASE ANALYSIS.

    Case 1

    Problem:

    How would you assess the professional behavior of Ms. Purification to Sec. 2 of Article IV? Are the
    complaint of her students valid?

    The complains of students are valid, because according to the Article IV Sec. 2 Every teacher shall uphold
    the highest possible standards of quality Education. Due to the overload of Ms. Purificacion, She did not
    balance her time and she didn’t give her best at all times, because of the overload of her work. She
    didn’t even preparing well for her class.

    Case 2

    Problem:

    If you were a teacher in that school, will you join the strike? Cite relevant provision of the Code to
    support your action.

    No. Because as a teacher, you should be selfless and give you full commitment to you profession even
    though you need to set a side your personal emotions. And according to Article VII Sec. 2, School
    officials, teachers, and other school personnel shall consider it their cooperative responsibility to
    formulate policies or introduce important changes in the system at all levels. It says that, Teachers shall
    be cooperative to adopt changes. So I think, If I will join in the strike, Maybe I will violate the Article VII
    Sec 2.
    Case 3

    Problem:

    What should the Principal do? Should Ms. Violeta be allowed to continue teaching? Justify your
    answer.

    If the Principal allow Ms. Violet she/he may violate the the Article V Sec 1 and Article VI, because base
    on this, regardless of personal feelings or private opinion and shall faithfully carry them out. And base
    on Article XI Sec 3, A teacher shall maintain at all times a dignified personality, As a teacher, when you
    are in school, Just set a side your personal problems, especially when you know that maybe will affect to
    your students. You are Teacher, and you will always be, So you always need to Act properly.

    Case 4

    Problem:

    What specific provision of the code of ethics were violated by Ms. Santos? Discuss fully.

    It’s Article V Sec 3, Base on this, Before leaving his position, a teachers shall organize for whoever
    assumes the position such records and other data as are necessary to carry on the work. But Ms. Santos
    failed to complete the grades of her students and some of the subjects were not yet recorded, due to
    this, some of the students will not be able to graduate because of the incomplete grades and lacking
    units.

    Case 5

    Problem:

    Is there a valid cause to dismiss Ms. Luanan from her Job? Comment on the professional behavior of
    the School Principal in relation to the provision of Article VIII.

    Mrs. Bacdao violate the article VII Sec 1, Base on this All school officials shall at all times show
    professional courtesy, helpfulness and sympathy towards teachers and other personnel, but Mrs.
    Bacdao went up to the stage, grabbed the mic and shouted which is very unethical for me. Maybe all her
    want is fot the good of school, But her ways is not appropriate as a Principal. She should learn first, how
    to educate others properly by not hurting other people.
    Case 6

    Problem:

    As a teacher, is Mr. Corpuz doing the right thing? Defend your answer. What can he do to solve the
    problem of the Kagawad?

    Mr. Corpuz did the right thing because base on the Article III Sec 6. Mr. Corpuz just extending his
    knowledge and hes not doing something wrong. Talk to that Kagawad, and ask what is the problem so
    that they can talk personally.
