1. Watch the short documentary from the given link and answer the questions that follow.
a. What is the story all about?
Answer
The story is all about the life of Jurolan family in which Rachel whom is a sped
student was interviewed by Mr. Tunying, asking about her life as a learner. She apparently
mentioned that being in a sped center is just normal. Her teacher taught them how to write,
read and even how to sing Ama Namin. In that statement, we can say that the treatment to
them was little different compared to regular classes, because of that DepEd promotes an
inclusive education that can give them a privilege to experience a same attention which
regular classes has. Another was for teachers to give much more attention to them. The
documentary also shows the interaction between a parent and a child who has special
needs. Just like in the story, the mother was giving much care to Rachel than to others.
b. Describe the condition of the child with special educational needs mentioned in the
video clip.
Answer
In the video clip the condition of the child was not clearly mentioned. It is just
that Rachel has a small nose and needs regular check up. They only say that he can
have a surgery for her nose when they enough money.
c. Describe how the parent deals with her child with special educational needs.
Answer
The same in my statement in question number 1, the parents has a different
treatment to their children but fair enough to take care and not abandoning them.
Always marked the siblings to take care of their sister and even trained them to become
independent when the bad time comes.
d. How does the school mentioned in the video clip deal with children with special
educational needs?
Answer
Ofcourse, they treat them fairly. Taught them the basic knowledge and most
important thing was they made them feel that they were in a regular class. They
integrate the sped into regular class if they think that there was an improvement. They
give them privilige to become normal.

a. What is the story all about?
Answer
The news is all about students who has special educational needs can now
integrate to regular college. This class was called inclusice education wherein students
who has special educational needs can have a privilege to graduate in college.
b. Describe the condition of the child with special educational needs mentioned in the
video clip.
Answer
A twenty three year old girl named Andrea Zubiri has ADHD (Attention
Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). In this condition the person experienced difficulty to
focus, has uncontrolled behaviour and hyperactive. But this condition did not stopped
her to become a great photographer.
c. How important is the family’s support system in building the morale of a child with
special educational needs?
Answer
The support of the family is very important in building the system the morale
of a child who has special needs or educational needs because they are the one they can
lean on. Especially the support of the parents, they were the first people who need to
trust and give privilege to their children to go to school. They should help and accept
them as their children.
d. Describe how the school mentioned in the video clip deal with children with special
educational needs.
Answer
Dela Salle College of St. Benilde provide a system which is inclusive
education. Here, teachers integrate students who has special educational needs into
regular classes. Those students called as “diversely gifted learner”. First, was they need
to go to screening and if they see that they has potential then they can now go to
regular class. Teachers give them all the support they need so they can graduate in
college.
