Julian Felipe
Julián Felipe (January 28, 1861 –
October 2, 1944), was the
composer of the music of the
Philippine national anthem,
formerly known as "Marcha
Nacional Filipina", now known as
Lupang Hinirang.

Nicanor
Abelardo
Nicanor Santa Ana Abelardo
(February 7, 1893 – March 21,
1934) was a Filipino composer
known for kundiman songs he
wrote before the Second World
War. Bituing Marikit is one of
Nicanor Abelardo’s famous
compositions, along with Mutya ng
Pasig, Nasaan Ka Irog, Kundiman
ng Luha. Abelardo also composed
operas, zarzuelas, concertos,
sacred and patriotic hymns.
Francisco
Santiago
Francisco Santiago (January 29,
1889 – September 28, 1947) was a
Filipino musician, sometimes called
The Father of Kundiman Art Song.
Santiago's masterpiece was the
"Concerto in B flat minor" for
pianoforte and orchestra and his
most famous piece "Kundiman,
(Anak-Dalita)". He was named UP
Emeritus Professor of Piano, on
May 25, 1946

Levi Celerio
Levi Celerio (April 30, 1910 – April
2, 2002) was a Filipino composer
and lyricist who is credited with
writing over 4,000 songs. Celerio
was recognized as a National Artist
of the Philippines for Music and
Literature in 1997. He is also
known for using the leaf as a
musical instrument which led to
being recognized as the "only man
who could play music using a leaf"
by the Guinness Book of Records
Ramon P.
Santos
National Artist for Music (2014)
Ramon Pagayon Santos, composer,
conductor and musicologist, is
currently the country’s foremost
exponent of contemporary Filipino
music. A prime figure in the second
generation of Filipino composers in
the modern idiom, Santos has
contributed greatly to the quest
for new directions in music, taking
as basis non-Western traditions in
the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

Canseco
George Masangkay Canseco (April
23, 1934 – November 19, 2004)
was a Filipino composer
considered by some to be one of
the most sentimental men of his
time. The songs "Kapantay Ay
Langit," "Ikaw", "Gaano Kadalas
Ang Minsan", "Paano", "Hanggang
sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan",
"Hiram", "Kahapon Lamang", "Ako
Ay Pilipino", and "Dito Ba?" are but
a few of Canseco's 300
compositions

Pedro
Lucio D. San Pedro, Sr. (February
11, 1913 – March 31, 2002) was a
Filipino composer and teacher who
was proclaimed a National Artist of
the Philippines for Music in 1991

Rey Valera
Reynaldo Valera Guardiano, better
known as Rey Valera (born May 4,
1954, in Meycauayan, Bulacan,
Philippines), is a Filipino singer,
songwriter, music director, film
scorer and television host. He
wrote and produced songs that
were recorded by various singers,
most notably Sharon Cuneta. He is
currently the head judge of the
singing contest segment "Tawag ng
Tanghalan" in a variety noontime
show It's Showtime.
Francisco
Feliciano
Francisco Feliciano (19 February
1941 – 19 September 2014) was a
Filipino composer and conductor.
He was a National Artist of the
Philippines for Music. Many of his
choral compositions have been
performed by the best choirs in
the country, such as the world-
renowned Philippines Madrigal
Singers, UST Singers, and the Novo
Concertante Manila, and have won
for them numerous awards in
international choral competitions.

Ryan Cayabyab
Ryan Cayabyab (born Raymundo
Cipriano Pujante Cayabyab; May 4,
1954), also known as Mr. C, is a
Filipino musician, composer and
conductor. He was the Executive
and Artistic Director for several
years for the defunct San Miguel
Foundation for the Performing
Arts. He was named as National
Artist of the Philippines for Music
in 2018.
Jose Mari
Chan
Jose "Joe" Mari Lim Chan (born
March 11, 1945 in Iloilo City) is a
Filipino singer, songwriter and
businessman in the sugar industry.
He is also the chairman and
president of Signature Music, Inc.
He received a Lifetime
Achievement Awards from the
Philippine Association of the
Recording Industry and The Metro
Pop Foundation.

Yoyoy
Villame
Roman Tesorio Villame (November
18, 1932 – May 18, 2007), better
known as Yoyoy Villame, was a
Filipino singer, composer, lyricist,
actor and comedian. He became a
national figure in 1977 with his
near-anthemic "Mag-exercise
Tayo", which has been adopted by
government agencies and public
schools as the official music for
their Monday morning exercise
after the flag ceremony.
Ely Buendia
Ely Eleandre Basiño Buendia (born
November 2, 1970), popularly
known as Ely Buendia, is a Filipino
musician, writer and director who
gained fame as guitarist,
songwriter and lead vocalist of the
popular Filipino rock band
Eraserheads. Widely regarded as
one of the most respected music
icons in the country, his
compositions gained massive
commercial success and universal
critical acclaim, topping various
music charts and leaving a legacy
in Philippine popular culture.

Ogie Alcasid
Herminio Jose Lualhati Alcasid Jr.
(born August 27, 1967), better
known as Ogie Alcasid, is a Filipino
singer-songwriter, television
presenter, comedian, parodist, and
actor. He is also currently the
President of OPM (Organisasyon
ng Pilipinong Mang-Aawit). He has
received a total of twelve gold
records, three platinum records,
and three double platinum
records.
