    From the looks of it looks like Qiji is his lover [not sure] that was poisoned with
    Hanyuan Tiwen. Feng Cheng couldn't cure her so Chu Zhang Ca trapped Feng Cheng at
    Hua Da Courtyard for three years, and forbid him from healing sick people. He then
    killed everyone from the Tang Household to avenge Qiji’s death.

    MC had bought a hairpin for Chu Zhang Ca but she tossed it out of the carriage
    window. Since she found out Chu Zhang Ca was angry to death because of another
    woman.... :LOL:

    Im a bit lost cuz reading the raws, the male lead's name seems to be Chu Changge?
    But I see lots of people saying that the male lead is called Chu Zhang Ca, even in
    the novel reviews etc can anyone explain Does he have another identity?

    I was so happy finding this novel, but I hate dead lover troupe .....:cry::cry:
    Always loose the interest in books like that :cautious: If it is a sister I would
    jump from happiness but I doubt so...
    I would appreciate the spoiler confirming Xi'er is ML past lover (before me
    dropping the novel):) Thanks in advance.

    Edit: Oh my I answered my own question: she is his twin younger sister (from
    chapter 75)! ML even laughed at her bc YS thought she was his past lover and
    rejected him ^^ I am so glad but poor sister.

    @elparis Yeah I meant Xi'er he begged for forgiveness in ch 13. I think he calls
    her Xi Yue too although I may be wrong (MTL)
    Spoiler: But
    Xi Yue transmigrated and is living in a different body (princess Li)... ML hasn't
    known about it for 3 years thinking she is dead (so all of his rage was
    understandable bc they were super close).
    I think the author mislead readers on purpose to believe they were truly past
    lovers so she was refereed first as Xi-er, Xi Yue (but after the twins revelation
    as Chu Xi Yue) then to get the antidote for MC poison, the head of the family of
    princess Li wanted ML to marry the girl Xi Yue transmigrated into, so ewww...
    Fortunately after the recognition Xi Yue dissuaded that silly engagement idea from
    the head of the family. By the way the sister likes Feng Cheng ^^
    eh MTL messes my mind so I am not even 70% sure if it is correct xD
    I think I am going to wait for translations :LOL: after I know the novel doesn't
    take the dead lover route
