you will manage discipline as well as lessons.

 Maleeka-Describe the ups and downs of being
Charlese’s “friend”. Why do you continue to be her
friend?
 Charlese-Describe what it is like to have Maleeka as
your friend. Explain the benefits. Make sure to
discuss what you do to keep her in line.
 John-John-Explain why you enjoy making fun of
Maleeka. Explain how you come up with your songs
about her.
 Caleb-Explain why even though you like Maleeka, you
don’t defend her. Make sure to include how you feel
when Maleeka is being harassed.
 Miss Saunders-Describe an encounter you had with
any one of the characters. Write in detail how you
handled it and the outcome. Why did you do what
you did?

Vocabulary Activities
 The vocabulary words are given for each day.
 Locate the word in the novel and write what you think the
definition is according to how it is used in the sentence. Then
look up the definition to see how close you were.
 Draw a picture to represent the meaning of each word.
 Write a sentence for the picture.

Journal Entry Requirements


 Write neatly in your journal
 The entry should be well written addressing the prompt fully.
 Each entry will be at least a page in length (it may be more).
 Do not try to take up space by writing excessively large.
 Accurately portray your character in your journal responses.
 Date each entry.
