Master of Business Administration (MBA)

(Annual Intake: 120)

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) course was first introduced in the late 19th
century in USA as the nation took its steps towards high-level industrialization and
companies sought out scientific approaches to management. Gradually, the course has
gained immense popularity the world over, and now attracts a large number of experienced
professionals as well as fresher’s from a wide range of academic disciplines.
The core courses in the MBA program are designed to introduce students to the various
areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operations
management, etc.
The MBA course at DTC is a most happening programme filled with industrial visits and guest
speakers from the Industry to add to the learning of the students. Over the two years of MBA,
students study about various factors (laws, trends, markets, economies) that effect
businesses and the running of businesses. They will also be exposed to ‘real-life situations’ in
an attempt to make sure that they don’t crumble under pressure if the going ever gets tough
in the future. There are a number of subjects which, more than anything, simply broaden the
student’s perspective about everything under the sun.
The first years ends with Summer Training of six to eight weeks in an organization which
bridges the gap between the theories learned in the first year and practical exposure of the
real life business.
The second year is the year of specialisation, where students have to choose the area of
specialization which will be their career objective. The subject specializations on offer are
Marketing Management, Human Resources Management, Finance and International
Business, subject to a minimum of fifteen students opting for any particular specialisation.
Towards the end of the course, our active placement cell assists students in getting the job
they desire.
Moreover, we at DTC encourage a change in attitude and shrugging off the empathetic
nature that has plagued people’s mind set over the years. And who better to lead and initiate
this change than the people who are especially trained in the field of ethics and leaderships-
The MBA students. An out of the box thinking is encouraged and inculcated among them
from the very beginning and it equips them with a clear mind set free of the typical societal
innuendos and stereotype mentality.

Le Corbusier (1887‐1965): The Swiss‐French architect’s entry into India completely

changed the thinking and the a tude of the Indian professional from that point in
me. Much of the architecture by Lutyens was eclipsed by his modernist approach
of this architect. One of the first to realize how the automobile would change human

accommodated in a city’s form in Chandigarh, his iconic contribu on to India.
Le Corbusier's contribu on to architecture and urban planning regula ng the built

immediately started a revolu on of ‘modernist’ buildings in the country.
The Lecture Series dedicates itself to this great architect who not only changed the
