1) Artificial intelligence (AI):

(AI) refers to the creation of smart software and hardware that are capable of replicating human behavior.
Today, AI is enabling companies to predict, and automate. The opportunities for capitalizing on artificial
intelligence in ecommerce are vast. Many of the companies that are successfully using AI are using it to
enhance their ecommerce engine and capability to generate more revenue through sales and marketing.

Brands can use AI to analyse  data more intelligently and effectively to forecast customer behaviour and
provide relevant recommendations to individual customers. This kind of knowledge is critical for providing
consumers with a personalised purchasing experience.

The impact of AI has benefited retailers to produce exclusively customized experiences for buying online.
Nowadays almost every. Industry is getting benefit of artificial intelligence. This is how the AI helps the e-
commerce business:

 Better search results: More of the online purchases start with a search/ the search results
should be relevant to the keywords/ AI techniques allow users to upload the images & find
the most relevant result/ This saves a lot of time for the customer.
 Control fake reviews: Reviews can influence purchasing decisions, so you should never
underestimate the value of reviews. Sometimes fake reviews are posted by opponents, haters
and even bots. And this hurts the ecommerce site, its merchants and its clients.
 Sales Forecasting: it benefits business to establish sales purposes and allocate resources
and direct supply chain efficiency. Generate previous sales history, competitors market
position, customer search trends and economic indicators.
 Chatbots: Automated customer Service. AI chatbots use deep learning and natural language
processing (NLP). They aren’t giving only rote responses, but they give sensible replies.
They have many advantages as: more human like communication, insightful answers that
discuss users’ actual requirements.

2) Blockchain applications in E-business:

E-commerce is growing on speed and emerging as a major industry in the last decade. Online shopping
becomes the most preferred activity by the consumers and its influence by many recent technological
advancements. One of these technologies is Blockchain. A blockchain is a technology that permits
transactions to be gathered into blocks and recorded and allows the resulting ledger to be accessed by
different servers. And while blockchain technology has long been associated primarily with Bitcoin
transactions, its potential is now recognized by e-commerce and other industries.

Over the last few years, blockchain technology has made its impact and attracted many industries
for its potential applications. Companies like VISA, IBM and Microsoft are investing in blockchain
technology to learn the implementation of this technology in their business. The blockchain has some
unique benefits if implemented:

1- Payment: the cost of transactions in blockchain platform is lower than e-commerce transactions.
These lead to possibility of fast micropayment. There are many payment solutions are available for
e-commerce. But still, trust and transparency are the major challenges faced by both
consumers as well as online retailers. Blockchain can be the answer to this problem.
2- Security: it provides highest level of protection for hackers and fraudster. The transactions data are
distributed and shared with the network connected with millions of computer systems. This
data are checked and encrypted by nodes on the network. The chain of node become longer
and make it impossible to hack. Decentralization is the main key for security.
3- Supply chain: One of the challenges faced by e-commerce is the lack of an efficient supply chain
and distribution network. There are many unethical practices performed by the company to
manage their supply chain. It is difficult for customers to check the authenticity of the
transaction at each stage of the supply chain. For example, a retailer might use poor quality
parts to assemble final products and claimed it as genuine parts or sell inorganic food
products as organic. These kinds of malpractices can be cut by the implementation of
blockchaintechnology in managing the supply chain for ecommerce. The transparency and
immutable blockchain will make each stage of the supply chain accountable. It enables customers to
track the origin of each product they have purchased.

3) Drones’ application in e-business:

According to consumer studies, online buyers are willing to have their items delivered by a drone. As a
result, it appears like everyone these days is talking about drones, with investors pouring millions of dollars
into drone firms. There are many organizations trying to implement drones. Amazon got a hold of
the concept and has applied it to ecommerce logistics. With the announcement of Amazon Prime Air, a
delivery system designed to get packages into customer hands in less than half an hour. The concept is not
in place yet but its inevitable considering Amazon’s history of adopting innovation. Also, Domino’s Pizzas
want to use the DomiCopter to deliver hot pizzas and Taobao is trailing tea deliveries in China. If this
happened, this might be the ultimate of quick pleasure, giving drone delivery firms a significant
competitive advantage.
The drones can change the future of e-commerce industry in many ways and have many benefits:
 Speed: Drones can deliver products quickly, from a few minutes to a few hours depending on the
origin and destination.
 Cost: Drones are cheaper than delivery vehicles. They typically save labor costs, too.
 Tracking: Drones allow for real-time tracking — for merchants and customers.
 Better customer satisfaction: Drones would take service to new High Level
with Faster and Hassle-free deliveries – Drones will be owned and operated by the
retailers themselves and will not be dependent on third party carriers to deliver products. Customers
will have their products delivered at their doorstep faster which will help improve customer
experience.

But there is also some obstacles or challenges:

 Its not legal in all countries and locations
 Drone delivery is limited on small package size.
 Drone deliveries can’t be done in bad weather

Technical content:
1) AI real use case

Here are two cases of big organizations who already adapted AI like Facebook and Uber.

Facebook

Facebook employs AI for interpreting and making predictions about the interest of the users. By assessing
the likes of the user, their friend’s likes as well as location data, Facebook uses the information for deciding
the content which it feels its user will enjoy. These prediction capabilities can also be employed for
predicting other future behavior such as the products which a user could purchase.

Facebook also uses AI technology to enable face recognition to help identify the faces in a photo, so it can
prompt the user to tag it. The company is highly devoted to this technology since photos have extreme
prominence for the platform.

Uber

Uber employs AI for detecting frauds, evaluating risks, during safety processes, for marketing spend and
allocation, for pairing drivers and riders, optimizing the route as well as in various remaining parts of its
application.

Having over a million customers, Uber is highly devoted to its customer service. The customers seeking
help or support are required to be connected to the most relevant agents in the department, a task which is
carried out flawlessly by AI.

AI also assists its agents with appropriate responses for customer inquiries, making this an aspect where
Uber has shown over 10% enhancement in efficiency as well as simultaneous leaps in customer
satisfaction.

2) Blockchain real use case:

Blockchain can be used in many sectors. We will talk about the business sector specially the supply chain
management. And how blockchain will be so beneficial to this sector.

Supply Chain Management

Blockchain allows for secure, real-time tracking of transactions. Supply chains are mostly a set of
transactions that connect to transfer goods from the first destination to the last. As the goods exchange
hands multiple times throughout the supply chain from production to retailer, the blockchain is helpful to
document each transaction in an immutable ledger. This way, supply chain ensure the security of all
payments, minimize delays, cut extra expenses, and reduce employees’ failures.

3) Drones real use case on Food/Restaurant industry:

Whether a delivery platform or the actual restaurant, delivery is common place (and becoming more
common since COVID19). Just from the reaction to COVID19 we can see replacing the human delivery
with a machine may improve safety, but there are other potential benefits of drone use. Fewer cars /
delivery vehicles may reduce CO2 and relieve congested city streets. In non-urban areas it may cut down
delivery times or enable delivery in previously unreachable areas. Theoretically there would also be a cost
savings; the total cost of ownership and use of a car seems higher than that of a drone. In terms of the labor
pool, before COVID many restaurants and supermarkets were having issues filling open positions. The use
of drones may allow these establishments to redeploy their labor.
Flirty and Domino’s partnered in 2016 for the first pizza delivery by a commercial drone in New Zealand.
Also in 2016, Flirty began working with 7-Eleven and completed 77 delivery orders in Reno, NV.
McDonalds and Uber Elevate have partnered with Uber Elevate promising drone food deliveries by 2023
