    WHERE TO EAT PIZZA

    When someone starts to think about eating fast food, they have a large

    number of possibilities, including pizza. Pizza is one of the foods most consumed

    by people in the world, so most restaurants offer pizza on their menu, but to find a

    restaurant that offers an excellent pizza is not comfortable. In Barranquilla, Jenos

    and Domino’s both are very recognized restaurants. Although Salvatore and

    Domino’s both offer similar products, by examining their prices, waiting times and

    the atmosphere of the place, Jenos is preferred by most people.

    First, let’s talk about prices. Nowadays, restaurants should offer not only a

    good pizza, but also a fair price. Although people want to go to affordable

    restaurants, they also want to get precisely what exactly they paid, because not all

    people are willing to pay a high price for a pizza. At the same time, Domino’s and

    Jenos both offer fair prices, Jenos offer slightly lower prices than Salvatore.

    On the other hand, it does not matter if people want food to go or to eat in

    the restaurant; punctuality is crucial. So, waiting a long time for an open table or a

    pizza order is not well seen by people, because they may consider it a lack of

    attention to the customer and they will prefer to go elsewhere. Whereas Jenos has

    Good waiting times, Domino always takes a long time to have open tables.

    Finally, let’s talk about the general atmosphere. When people go to a

    restaurant for pizza, they not only go to eat pizza, but they want to enjoy a unique

    place that is pleasant and that makes them feel good. Although Domino’s has an

    atmosphere that people like, they mostly prefer to go to Jenos.


    According to world statistics, more than 20% of restaurants globally sell

    pizza, and United States is the country that consumes the most pizza worldwide,

    with an average of 650 million units per year. In South América, 49% of

    Colombians eat pizza more than five times a month, compared to 20% in Peru and

    11% in Argentina, making Colombia with the highest consumption in the entire

    region (Viewer, 2018).

    On the other hand, according to Shopping Center Gastronomic Offer’s

    Satisfaction Study (Retail, 2019), Jenos Pizza is the most consumed with 41%,

    followed by Domino’s Pizza with 17% and Papa Jhon’s with 15%, affirming that

    pizza is one of the categories preferred by Colombians in their permanent visits to

    shopping centers.

    There is no doubt that pizza is consumed a lot and that there are many

    restaurants that offer this type of fast food. The large number of options when

    choosing where to eat pizza is what makes other aspects such as price, service

    and atmosphere are evaluated by people and according to their tastes,

    preferences and priorities they will choose the restaurant they consider best.

    Although statistics and studies show that Jenos pizza is the most consumed,

    I am in the small group of people who prefer Dominos. It doesn't matter if I have to

    stand in line and wait for a table because what I really love about their pizza is its

    exquisite taste and the great variety they offer on their menu.
