asking 10 points on how the Government of Pakistan can improve internet penetration in Pakistan.

Ans:

1.Digital citizenship: Interaction between government, businesses and citizens specifically in the
provision and use of public services over digital channels.

2. Digital Lifestyle: Use of smart devices to access locally relevant content and non-core communication
solutions that offer a more convenient experience.

3. Digital Commerce: Simplifies a commerce activity by expanding access to marketplaces, replacing


physical cash, and facilitating the processing and delivery of orders over digital channels.

4. Digital Identity: Proof of identity is a prerequisite to socio-economic development and essential to


accessing basic services. Mobile technology is uniquely positioned to enable accessible and inclusive
digital identity.

5. Connectivity: Fast, reliable and continuous individual access to the internet is the foundation for the
creation, distribution and consumption of digital applications and services.

6. Platforms: Internet-enabled, multisided services that cater to both providers and users (e.g.
consumers, vendors and governments)

7. Agriculture is a key sector within Pakistan’s economy, yet businesses often face challenges around
manual processes in the value chain. Government needs to provide digitization solutions for the dairy
market and agriculture industry that makes registration, procurement processes easier for farmers and
all.

8. Policies that stimulate enhanced knowledge creation, dissemination, lawful use and preservation of
different forms of digital content, (including access to information, research, data and publications),
encourage investments in such creation, dissemination and preservation, and encourage global access
to content regardless of language and origin.

9. An infrastructure strategy should cover cities, towns, villages and communities. This means that
planning strategies at federal, provincial and local levels should give priority to making sure there’s
proper equipment like computers, modems, telephone lines and network hardware available to run
what we know as the internet.

10. Measures should be taken through education and strategic communications to create a clear and
simple ways for everyone - regardless of background - to understand and be a part of the internet.
