Objective: To encourage meritorious children of Varun Group (automobile, projects &

EAT) employees in education and sports, Navaratnam’s Scholarship

2. Not more than two children of an employee are eligible to this programme.
3. If there are more number of students applying for scholarships than available scholarships, in such
an event, available scholarships will be awarded based on merit.

1. Any employee who has 3 years experience & have good discipline record in Varun Group is eligible to
nominate their children under this category.
2. The Employees children who have participated in district level or above level tournaments of any
recognized and authorized sports are eligible for this programme. If more number of applicants are there,
the winner/top/high performers will be considered.
3. In this category, the same sportsmen are not eligible for consecutively second year.
4. If there are more number of sportsmen applying for scholarships than available scholarships, in such an
event, available scholarships will be awarded based on merit.

PROCESS
 The nominations will be invited during 1st week of August of every year.
 The received nominations will initially scrutinized by HR during third week of August
 A three member committee consisting of COO, VP-Finance and VP-HR will review the
nominations and finalise the nominations, submit to MD for approval.
 The Scholarships will be awarded during second week of September for different batches of
students.
 The Scholarship Scheme will be effective from 01.11.2020.
