In Cherry Pie Picache, a person who was related to her mother murdered her
mother. The guy, called Michael trusts Pie’s mother. They have no idea that it’s going to
happen to their mom. As her mother doesn’t deserve to die like that, Cherry Pie and her
family feel very emotional. Cherry Pie’s confidence becomes greater in the moment of
their suffering. She still prays to God about how to cope up with the disaster that is
happening to them. She trusts God and allows her to heart to be healed by God. Then,
after she had prayed to God many times, the grace of God slowly healed her. She even
goes to jail and embraces the man who killed her mother, personally. The pain is still
present, but she has decided to forgive to be free of the misery she endure.
is a part of our lives that we have someone who is going to hurt us and make
mistakes. It’s either our circle of friends, someone we’ve met, or a family of our own. But
for me, all the hurtful experiences that I have been through, particularly in terms of my
spirituality, give me strength. If anyone make a mistake with me then I can easily forgive
them because I know in myself that this is one of the teachings of the Lord. Forgiveness
doesn’t mean amnesia, though it means that I am going to forgive them, but all the
mistakes they’ve made will remain, and it takes a lot of time before I trust them again. I
will face the challenges that have been presented to me, just like Cherry Pie Picache,
because I realize that all those circumstances will make me stronger and I know that
God didn’t leave me after anyone hurt me.
All of us commit sins and we still pray for the Lord’s forgiveness. But how can we
pray for Lord’s grace if we didn’t know how to forgive ourselves? I believe sinners
deserve a second opportunity to repent. Just like God, once we have admitted all of our
sins, he does not punish us for our sins. Also, if we only see the pain we feel because of
the people who have made our mistakes, we will forget that God is always there for us.
Therefore, trusting God’s plan and letting him to heal our wounds is what we must do.
