1. What is the contribution of Copernicus in the philosophy of science?
Answer:
He was the first modern European scientist to propose that Earth and other planets
revolve around the sun, or the Heliocentric Theory of the universe

Answer:
Yes, because in this time experiments are more useful because in this way, we can
create new things and we can develop more technologies.
3. What is Darwin’s contribution to modern science?
Answer:
Darwin's greatest contribution to science is that he completed the Copernican
Revolution by drawing out for biology the notion of nature as a system of matter in
motion governed by natural laws.

If I were him, I would rather change or focus my theory in the means of developing
more study in which we can easily learn the behavior of people as a psychologist.

Answer:
(7.1) Established schools in which we are now learning and developing some of our
knowledge.
(7.2) Technology in which our ancestor used to make tools.
(7.3) Modernization, in this way our ancestor became more knowledgeable and
learned how to change the way of their lifestyle.
8. What are the three significant contributions of the Americans to the development of Science
and Technology. A brief information is needed.
Answer:
Science during the American period was inclined towards:
(8.1) Agriculture, in which our ancestors are learned the new way of farming.
(8.2)) Food processing, this contribution helps us to prepare our food become more
healthy and less contaminated.
(8.3 Medicine and Pharmacy that helps us suspend or to cure our illness.
9. How our education was influenced by the Spaniards and the Americans? Write a one
paragraph answer to its influencer.
Answer:
In the time of Spaniards, the education was focuses on understanding different
concepts related to the human body, plants and animals, they also introduced the
concepts of subjects and disciplines, and added the medicines and advanced science
that introduced in formal colleges and universities.
While in the time of Americans they reorganized the learning of science in which
science education focuses on natures studies, science and sanitation. They also
influence the public educational system, improved the engineering works and the
health conditions of the people and also mineral resources were explored and
exploited.
10. List five Government Policies or Laws that concerns or related Science and Technology. Give
a brief description each.
Answers:
(10.1) Republic Act No. 10844, otherwise known as the “Department of Information
and Communications Technology Act of 2015”, the Department of Information and
Communications Technology (DICT) shall be the primary policy, planning,
coordinating, implementing, and administrative entity of the Executive Branch of the
government that will plan, develop, and promote the national ICT development
agenda.

(10.2) Article 9 of the Law stipulates that the government must draw up a basic plan
for science and technology, for the purpose of the comprehensive and systematic
promotion of measures for the promotion of science and technology.

(10.3) Republic act no. 2067- An act to integrate, coordinate, and intensify scientific
and technological research and development and to foster invention; to provide funds
therefor; and for other purposes.

(10.4) SEC. 18. Magna Carta – Qualified employees of the Department and its attached
agencies shall be covered by Republic Act No. 3439, which provides a magna carta for
scientists, engineers, researchers and other science and technology personnel in tie
government.
