Dale Wayrynen Recreation Community Center (DW Rec.) is having Movie and
Popcorn

When: March 27, 2 p.m.

Where: DW Rec., 6145 Desert Storm Ave.

Join DW Rec. for an afternoon with a movie and popcorn. Enjoy FREE popcorn as you watch a
recently released movie shown on the large screen in the lounge. The featured movie will be
announced a week before the showing. Show time is 2 p.m. on March 27. For more information

ACS:

Family Advocacy Program is Keeping Women Safe

Calling all women who want to feel empowered and to learn skills that will keep them aware and
safe. Army Community Service’s (ACS) Family Advocacy Program will be presenting an
opportunity for women to participate in a FREE course, provided by law enforcement, regarding
safety and crime prevention. Childcare is also available at no cost. Crime Prevention: “A Woman’s
Safety Course” will be conducted on Tuesday, April 5 at the Family Resource Center (FRC) from
10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Registration is required as space for childcare is limited. All children must
be registered with Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS).

ACS Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program 5K Hard Target Run/Walk

Doing something for a good cause is always a great thing, but why not get something beneficial
out it for yourself? With the 5K Hard Target Run/Walk you will not only run or walk to bring
awareness to sexual assault and prevention during sexual assault prevention month, but you will
also benefit from the physical exercise. The run/walk will take place on April 7 at Fryar
Stadium from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. Pre-registration is required and there is no cost to participate.
You can also register the day of the race between 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. at Fryar Stadium.

ACS Family Advocacy Program 1, 2, 3, 4 Parents

Children ages one through four are at a vital point in their development and can learn habits or
skills that can last the rest of their lives. As parents, it is our job to ensure that we provide our
children with age appropriate knowledge that will help them excel when they are older. ACS
Family Advocacy Program presents 1, 2, 3, 4 Parents; a three session workshop for parents of
children ages one through four. This workshop discusses ages and stages, discipline skills,
avoiding accidents and problems, choices and consequences, and encouragement. The upcoming
workshops take place from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and are as follows:

Parent(s) must attend all three sessions to complete the class. Child care is available through
Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) hourly care for children 5 and under and is provided at
no cost by ACS. Child must be registered with CYSS in order to be admitted into hourly care.
Registration is required as space for child care is limited.

Tickets available for purchase for the Volunteer of the Year Ceremony

When: March 21 through April 4, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Where: Family Resource Center (FRC), 1501 William C. Lee Rd.

Take the time to say thank you to all the men and women who devote countless hours of service
to the many organizations on Fort Campbell and the neighboring communities with the Fort
Campbell Army Volunteer Corps, as they cordially invite you to join them in the recognition of
the Volunteer of the Year finalists and winners. The Volunteer of the Year awards ceremony
will take place on April 12, at Cole Park Commons starting at 6:30 p.m.; doors open at 6 p.m.
Finalists receive a Certificate of Appreciation and winners receive awards at the Department of
the Army level. Tickets can be purchased for $10 per person, March 21 through April 4, at the
Family Resource Center (FRC), Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. For additional

Super Saturdays with CYSS

Child, Youth and School Services offer respite childcare two Saturdays each month and one
Friday night each month. Super Saturdays are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the following dates:
• April 9th and 30th, 2011
• May 14th and 21st, 2011
• June 11th and 18th, 2011
• July 9th and 16th, 2011
• August 13th and 27th, 2011
• September 10th and 24th, 2011

Children must be registered with CYSS. If your child is already enrolled please make your
reservations by calling Taylor Youth Center at (270) 798-3643 for children in kindergarten
through the fifth grade or by calling the Child Development Center for children ages 6 weeks to
5 years old at (270) 439-7996. If your child is not registered, you can do so through CYSS
Central Enrollment Registration at 5668 Wickham Ave. Call them at (270) 798-0674 if you

Friday Night Out with CYSS

Moms and dads need a break from time to time, especially during deployment. Child, Youth and
School Services offers respite childcare one Friday night of each month for children of
deployed Soldiers. Friday Night Out’s are from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on:
• April 15th, 2011
• May 6th, 2011
• June 24th, 2011
• July 22nd, 2011
• August 19th, 2011
• September 30th, 2011

Come join us for arts & crafts, organized fitness activities, computer fun, games and more! A
snack will be provided. Your child must be registered with CYSS Central Enrollment. If child is
already enrolled, please call Taylor Youth Center or the Child Development Center to make your
reservation. If not, please register your child at CYSS Central Enrollment Registration first.

Stables:

Open House

When: March 26, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Where: Fort Campbell Riding Stables

Get to know the Fort Campbell Riding Stables and experience the versatility of the facility
through an open house. This event is open to the public and participants can purchase an all
access equestrian pass to have unlimited use of the dressage arena, cross-country course,
stadium jumps, western trail class and scenic trails on March 26, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. All
access equestrian passes are $40 per rider and registration will begin at 9 a.m. Registration will
take place in building 6603. All horses are required to have a valid proof of a negative Coggins;
Tennessee and Kentucky health certificates are not required. Horses are not permitted to be
off loaded until registration is complete. All riders must wear protective riding equipment.
Protective vests are mandatory on the Cross Country course. Participants are required to bring
their own horses, as the rental horses will not be available for this event. Future open house
dates are as follows: April 30, May 28, June 25, July 30, August 27, September 24, and
October 29.
