WHATS NEW

1. I FEEL LONELY AND THE FEELING LONGINGNESS JUST LIKE THE AUTHOR FEELS WHEN WRITING
THIS PIECE.
2. I THINK THE AUTHORS INSPIRATON IN WRITING THIS SONG IS TO PROVIDE DELICATE IMPRESION
ON HOW HUMANS BELONGED TO EACH OTHER BECAUSE OF OUR EMBOIDEIED SPIRIT.
3. YES. BECAUSE THE WORLD HAS ITS OWN CRUELNESS THAT PEOPLE ARE ENDURING IN THEIR
EVERYDAY LIFE, IT HAS LIMITLESS OPPORTUNITIES AND WORTHINESS THAT SOMETIMES EACH
HUMANS CAN’T UNDERSTAND, CRIMES HAVE RISEN AND THE THOUGHT THAT THE WORLD
NEEDS HEALING IS VERY IMPORTANT.

WHATS MORE

ACTIVITY 1: HEAL THE ENVIRONMENT

EXPLANATON:

PIC 1: EXPLANATION: avoid littering into beaches and resort that could affect the turtles and other sea
creatures instead we need to conserve and protect the ocean.

PIC 2: EXPLANATION: instead of destroying the forest planting more trees is more helpful than cutting
them of.

PIC 3: EXPLANATION: instead of littering we should clean our environment often and organize a clean up
drive in every municipality.

ACTIVITY 2: CONSERVE AND PRESERVE THE ENVIRONMENT

ENERGY PLASTIC WATER PAPER

1. SWITCHING RECYCLE CONSERVE WATER TURN PAPER INTO
LIGHTS WHEN PLASTICS AND THAT’S IN EVERYDAY BAGS TO USE IN
NOT IN USE TURN THEM USE LIKE WASHING PURCHASING
ESPECIALLY INTO MORE DISHES USING A FOODS.
OTHER USEFUL BASIN.
APPLIANCES STUFFS.
THAT IS
PLUGGED IN.
2. USE OF SOLAR INSTEAD OF TURN OF FAUCETS CREATE A DISPLAY
ENERGY IS USING PLASTIC THAT IS POURING. OUT OF PAPER
SUFFICIENT BAGS WHEN LIKE SWAN AND
NOW ADAYS. GOING TO THE SELL IT TO MAKE
MARKET USED MONEY.
OLD CLOTHES
AS A BAG.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

ACTIVITY 3: DEFEND THE ENVIRONMENT

Title: DON’T DESTROY OUR NEW HOPE

Introduction: ecosystems have been destroyed because of dams that has been working within
municipalities and the local governments. Like NEW HOPE DAM which affects the Dumagats through
water shortage and a danger in landslide and other hazards that would affect the normal living of this
indigenous peoples.

Body: The Dumagats are one of the major indigenous peoples living in southern Luzon along the Sierra
Madre, the longest mountain range in the Philippines. They depend on farming, hunting, and fishing. I
strongly oppose all destructive development projects, especially the construction of New Hope Dam,
within the ancestral domains of Dumagats. Many dams and reservoirs cause unacceptable
environmental problems, such as massive soil movement, making it vulnerable to earthquakes and
strong typhoons, which are common natural occurrences in the entire Philippines. Breaking or erosion of
the dam structures may result in severe flooding and massive displacement of communities and farms
downstream. Diverting the river poses risks to the biodiversity in these freshwater ecosystems.
Indigenous fish species will be endangered, causing serious problems in the food and livelihood sources
of the people.

Conclusion: The project New Hope Dam would pose environmental threats in the watershed forest
reserve where our indigenous people live. By destroying nature in the area, we also destroy the source
of living and habitat of our indigenous people. Presuming that there is indeed a water crisis, maybe it is
a result of global warming or climate change. I believe that constructing new megadams is not the
solution. Our watersheds and our forests provide us the water we need and not the dams but the
inconvenient truth is that we have lost the majority of our forests. No matter how many dams we
construct, if our watersheds and forests are not restored, our need for water would never be met again.
A great water crisis would really be unless we genuinely restore our watersheds and forests. Hence, I
strongly oppose the construction of the New Hope Dam within the ancestral domain of Dumagats. The
decision on where to situate the New Hope Dam should minimize environmental impacts in the whole
city. It should only be considered when it is truly the best option.
