    Q1) Give the importance of Curriculum in the Educational system.

    Since curriculum is the aggregate course of study which are carefully planned and
    developed by scholars, educators etc. the Curriculum will serve as a guide that will
    assist the educators and learners to attain the desired learning outcomes in a
    microscopic and in a macroscopic environment.

    Given the different facets of society and the ever changing environment that we have
    learners and educators are also constantly changing. Thus, Curriculum is there to
    address the changes in the learners and educators. Since change is constant
    curriculum may also be changed and revised depending on the need of a particular
    group of learners, school or community.

    Without Curriculum educators will be at a lost; therefore learning and teaching


    process will likewise be.

    Q2) What do you prefer Traditional or Progressive points of view of


    Curriculum?

    As a future educator, and through the my FS 1-6 subject I observed how children of
    today differ from the children of yesterday. Today children are more aggressive and
    seek their independence.

    According to the Traditional curriculum: “curriculum should focus on the


    fundamental intellectual disciplines of grammar, literature and writing ” is so ideal.
    Given today’s ever changing society with the destructions that the learners are facing
    we cannot just focus on these areas. We have to know more about these students
    and know their needs what they are good at and hone them. I believe that lesson is
    best learned when experienced and applied.

    Q3) Ask an educator or principal what curriculum are they operating in their
    school. Indicate school.

    According to Ms. Aizza June Supnet Ramos, Principal of Divine Shepherd


    Montessori School in Umingan, Pangasinan they use Progressive Curriculum.

    Q4) Which of the 4 Educational Philosophy do you prefer?

    Among the 4 Educational Philosophies, I prefer the Progressivism Philosophy. I


    believe in the “ learning by doing “ approach. I myself apply this to my three year old
    daughter and I can see the enthusiasm in her every time we form shapes with her clay
    or draw circles and squares. There will be times that I guide her but she enjoy more
    when she does it by herself.

    It is a human nature that we get bored on lectures, sermons etc. that sometimes the
    things being discussed do not totally sink in especially when the speaker or the
    teacher is too boring.
    Since the philosophy focuses on the interest of the students it will be “ no sweat “ for
    the teacher. Interest is also one key to catch the learners attention and the more they
    are interested the more they will be involved and absorb the lesson easily.

    Q5) Make your own Vision and Mission as an Educator.

    Vision

    A learning institution that will foster good values to its learners that will be
    carried out in their academic fulfillment.

    Mission

    To provide high quality education that will hone their natural abilities and
    skills.

    Hi Aiz, need your help bading...I heard Principal ka now...Ask ko lang what Curriculum
    are you currently using in your school Progressive or Traditional Curriculum need ko
    lang for my take home exam hahahahaha.... and indicate school na din thanks
    thanks...love you…

    progressive atey...Im working with Divine shepherd Montessori School, umingan,
    pangasinan...Im currently the Principal diba sosyal 3 years na bek hehehe...you're
