    PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT AND APLICATIONS (FIN661)


    GROUP ASSIGNMENT: WRITTEN REPORT (10%)
    PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT AND ARTICLE REVIEW

    The objective of this assignment is to review selected securities example stocks,


    government bonds, corporate bonds, real estate investment trusts (REITs), mutual funds,
    exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and bank certificates of deposit. It must be supported with
    journal articles that are related to the current issues such as global recession, pandemic and
    corporate governance. The purpose of this assignment is to identify the effects of current
    issues toward portfolio selections or diversification among investors.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. This is a group project, and the students are required to form into 3 groups comprising of
    3/4 MEMBERS ONLY.

    2. Each group needs to choose journal articles which are discussed list of securities in
    related to the issues.

    3. The group needs to write a final report using the given format.

    4. The additional information can be collected through online search/reviews and


    observation.

    5. Use Times New Roman 12 or Arial 11 with 1.5 spacing for writing a case study report.
    6. The report must be submitted online on 10th July 2021, Failure to do so will jeopardize the
    student’s grade for this subject.

    The content of report must include:


    1. Cover page
    2. Table of content
    3. Executive summary
    4. Introduction – overview of securities
    5. Article Review - Discussion on current issues in related to selected securities.

    6. Findings and Discussion
    7. Conclusion and recommendation
