At the end of the lesson the student must have been able to:
a. Define adjective as a describing word ;
b. Recognize adjectives in a sentence and
c. Create a sentence using adjectives.

B. Motivation
The teacher will divide the class in to 2 groups and let the pupils play the
game “Bring me”. The teacher will ask for a different things and the
representative of each group who give it to the teacher will describe it. The
team who earn more points will be the winning team.

Presentation
The teacher will present a video presentation to the students. Then
ask the students questions that will let them think.

Adjective definition:
An adjective is a word that describes a noun and a pronoun.
Examples:
She is beautiful (The adjective in the example is beautiful.)
He is Angry (The adjective in the example is angry.)
He is Bored (The adjective in the example is bored.)
He is Happy (The adjective in the example is Happy.)
He is Sleepy (The adjective in the example is Sleepy.)

Most adjectives come before the noun or pronoun.


Examples:
The sleepy child was crying.
The beautiful lady is standing outside.

Adjectives answer the question:


What Kind?
Example: Fast Cars are fun to drive.
Which one?
Example: Joe ate three apples.

How many?
Example: Jill bought a green jacket.

Adjectives can tell you:


 Looks like
 Feels like
 Smells like
 Tastes like
 Sounds like
IV. Application

The teacher will facilitate a game called “Help Sally” to the students.
The teacher will introduce sally to the class and the students need to help sally to
finish her project. The teacher will group the class into two groups and the
students need to pair the given words to the pictures scattered in the classroom.
The student needs to find it. The group who will do it correctly will be the winning
team.

V. Evaluation
Find the adjective(s) in each sentence below.
1. The kitten drinks warm milk from her bowl.
2. I ate a juicy apple for lunch. .
3. The chirping birds woke us up.
4. We had a picnic in the green grass.
5. My friend has curly hair.
6. Bears sleep in warm dens.
7. Tigers have dark stripes on their bodies.
8. The car had four flat tires.
9. I tasted the sweet ice cream.
10. We sat in the cool shade of the trees.
