    Course Description:
    The course aims to equip the students in BEED program a strong background in local history
    and culture. This background serves as an avenue for further inquiry of the available resources in the
    community for the localization and contextualization of teaching of elementary subjects. Areas to be
    studied include natural heritage of the locality, tangible and intangible culture that are of great
    significance to the socio-economic and political activities of the people in the place. In the end they are
    expected to come up with the profiling of available cultural resources in the community.

    Course Learning Outcomes : Required Output


    1. Understanding concepts in teaching social
    studies (Araling Panlipunan) in intermediate  Lesson Plan
    grades.  Demonstration Teaching Video
    2. Identify and use appropriate instructional
    materials in teaching pedagogies in social studies
    (Araling Panlipunan).
    3. Construct and utilize appropriate instructional
    materials in social studies (Araling Panlipunan) in
    elementary.
    4. Develop and utilize appropriate assessment
    tools in teaching social studies (Araling
    Panlipunan) in intermediate grades
    5. Apply concepts learned through lesson
    planning and teaching demonstration.

    Course Policies: Grading System:
