Does a vaccinated ( Immune ) passenger need to quarantine in Saudi Arabia ?


A – Vaccinated ( Immune ) passenger, there is NO QUARANTINE ( 2 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech • 2 doses of Oxford-
AstraZeneca • 2 doses of Moderna • 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen)

Is Sinopharm in the approved list of vaccinations for travel to KSA ?


A – NO. All Sinopharm vaccinated passengers leaving from UAE to KSA are required to do institutional quarantine
for 7 days in KSA

Is institutional quarantine exempted for residence / Iqama holders of KSA ?


A - Quarantine is not required for KSA residents only if they meet the following conditions :

- IMMUNE status on KSA Tawakkalna app after completion of vaccination


- Completed 14 days after their first dose of vaccine.( Immune status on Tawakkalna app required)
- Recovered from Covid within and not exceeding 6 month period .( Immune status on Tawakkalna app
required)

Is a vaccinated ( Immune ) passenger required to do PCR test for taking a flight to KSA from UAE ?
A- YES. PCR test done with 72 hours of the flight is required. PCR test is also required upon exiting from KSA.

Are Saudi nationals exempted from quarantine ?


A- Yes.

Who qualifies for a institutional quarantine upon arrival into KSA ?


A- Non vaccinated and passengers who have taken Sinopharm (And any other vaccine which is not approved in
KSA)will require to do a institutional quarantine for 7 days in KSA. The package can be booked on
Saudiaholidays website only.

Saudi citizens, citizen spouses, citizens children and domestic workers accompanying with any of these
categories, Non immune domestic workers accompanying an immune resident, those holding a diplomatic
visa, diplomats and their residing families and Those involved in health supply chains, according to MOH are
exempted from institutional quarantine.

Can a non- vaccinated passenger travel on other airlines out of UAE to KSA and book a package with Saudia Holidays ?
A – Passenger has to travel on Saudia only to book a quarantine package.

How do travel agents create an account on Saudia Holidays ?


To book a quarantine package - Agencies should create an account through SAUDIA Holidays Web Site on the link
: https://holidaysbysaudia.com/ar-SA/static/jeddah_quarantine_package The account must be under the
responsibility of Agencies Office manager. (The account must be identified by Agencies domain).

6- Is the quarantine package refundable once booked on Saudia Holidays ?


A- Package once booked is non-refundable. Booking and payment for the package needs to be done 72 hours
prior to travel / flight. Once booked and paid confirmation of the package ( with name of the hotel ) will be
advised within 48 to 72 hrs only. There are only 3,4 and 5 star hotel categories to choose from.
Payment can be done through Credit card and DEPO-EMD for E-wallet. Saudia PNR and ticket number has to
be linked with the package while booking. Refunding a package is only possible in involuntary cases such as
passenger being tested Positive before the flight OR in case of Flight cancellation. Refund will be reversed
back to the Credit card or the EMD once approved for involuntary cases.

What type of visa holders can travel from UAE to KSA ?


A – All visas including Business and Visit are acceptable for travel to KSA within its validity.
Tourism visas holders are not allowed

What is the proof of vaccination a passenger is required to present during check-in ?


A- Bar coded certificate confirming passenger is vaccinated. Same can be downloaded through AlHosn App and
Dubai Health Authorities app.
Vaccine certificates are required to be certified by official health authorities from the country
that provided the vaccination for incoming passengers into KSA

What is the name of the App a passenger is supposed to download and fill after landing in KSA ?
A - All IMMUNE passengers are exempted from quarantine and must fill out the
Registration Immunization Information Form before traveling to the Kingdom through the
dedicated website https://muqeem.sa/#/vaccine-registration/home.
Post their landing in KSA, All passengers have to register in TAWAKKALNA APP ( this is mandatory
for all passengers ( including Saudi nationals ) whether Immune or Non-Immune.

What rules apply to a non-vaccinated passenger accompanying a vaccinated passenger ?


A – Following categories are exempted from institutional quarantine -
Saudi citizens, citizen spouses, citizens children and domestic workers accompanying with any of these categories.
(Non immune travellers, in this category, shall comply with home quarantine for a period of 7 days, and be allowed to
take the COVID 19 PCR test starting on the 6TH day of quarantine).
- Non immune domestic workers accompanying an immune resident
(Non immune Guests shall comply with home quarantine for a period of 7 days, and be allowed to take the COVID 19
PCR test starting on the 6TH day of quarantine).
- Immune Guests and their companions under the age of 18 years of citizens and residents.
(Non immune Guests, shall comply with home quarantine for a period of 7 days, and take a PCR test on the 6th day of
quarantine).
- Those holding a diplomatic visa, diplomats and their residing families.
(on the basis that they adhere to the quarantine procedures by staying in their homes in accordance to the minatory
of health (MOH) approved regulations).
- Cabin Crew
- Those involved in health supply chains, according to MOH.

Is International medical insurance mandatory for all quarantine / non-quarantine passengers ?


A- 14 day international medical insurance coverage is mandatory for all passengers except for Saudi nationals,
Immune and non-immune residence / Iqama holders and GCC nationals. All Immune and non- immune Business and
Visit visa holders need to have medical insurance coverage for 14 days.
