Overview
The Central hardware is a locally sourced PC workstation pre-loaded with the required
Windows operating system. Hardware and Operating System (O/S) support should be
obtained from the local workstation supplier. The Central PC Workstation is connected
to the monitor network via a network switch. An Ethernet network for networking the
central and bedside should be provided locally. Functional issue related to élance
Central Station software should be reported to EMO GTS after confirming the cause is
not related to PC hardware, Windows O/S, service patch, incompatibility with other
software, network failure or user error.

Computer Hardware Test

Follow the PC hardware troubleshooting guide provided by the PC vendor to verify
hardware problems. Ensure Device Manager has no “unknown” device and device driver
is the correct one. Ensure display resolution is correctly set according to required
hardware specification (Refer to Chapter 2). Please contact the PC vendor for further
technical support and repair.

Operating System Test

For Windows O/S related problems, please contact the O/S supplier for support and
restoration of the operating system. The Windows “Event Viewer” may be used to obtain
the error information for communication with the O/S vendor.

Central Network
Please ensure the Central network configure is completed properly by following Section
6 Network Setup of this manual. If the problem is not due to network setup, it could be
computer hardware, operating system and /or network hardware problem. If the problem
is due to network hardware, please contact the network vendor for technical support,
troubleshooting and network components replacement & repair.
