the !it to kindle a holy re that will burn strong during the whole of the ritual
!roceedings The best wood to use for the kindling of the re of Hekate is
from the dead branches of yew, willow and cy!ress tree The $ames of the
!it will, during the ritual, act as the central focal !oint and it is therefore
therefore
im!ortant to kee! its re strong and steady, as its $ames embody and
manifest some of the !ower that is evoked
%leven rock crystals are to be !laced in a circle around the !it in order to
strengthen and concentrate the astral currents that are brought down and
the chthonic forces that are brought u! during the &alling of Hekate
 The ritual is commenced
commenced whenwhen each !artici!ant
!artici!ant has kindled
kindled the torch

they carry in their left hand and formed a circle around the central !it #fter
a silent contem!lation of the work at hand the !riestess gives the sign for
everyone to ste! forward to the !it and, with the hel! of the $ames of their
burning torches, kindle the central re of Hekate 'hen the re is burning all
!artici!ants return to their former !ositions around the re !it
The !riestess fully o!ens the ceremony
ceremony by rst
rst chiming the bell
bell that she
holds in her right hand, one time over each of the eleven crystals !laced
around the re, while she internally invokes the Titanic forces of ()os *he
then chimes the bell nine times and focuses her will on establishing the
internal link to Goddess and e+claims
-.n the wordless name of the inner and outer ()os, we banish the !owers of
the nite light and invoke the forces of the Divine %ndless /ight and call
forth the s!irits of wrathful darkness0

'e who serve the /ameless "owers from beyond the cosmic barriers, are
now, on this blessed night, ready to o!en the forgotten
forgotten and forbidden gates
and !artake of the dark force that shall hel! us resha!e the illusions of this
world, that by the blind has been called reality, in accordance with our own
divine will0
'e who are the living gates to the outer ()os, that with its all consuming
res brings both annihilation and resurrection, are now ready to call u!on
our Dark other, Hekate, who tonight for the sake of her own delight shall
strengthen both our dark magic and the !owers of our will0-
The !riestess !laces the bell on the ground

turns to the western 2uarter and traces, with the $ames of her dagger, the
invoking !entagram of the western throne with a crescent of the waning
moon in its middle, and vibrates three times
-%4aTe0-
'hen this has been done all !artici!ants lift their torches towards the sky
and e+claim
-Trinsoa Hekate0- 5+67
The !riestess then stabs her dagger into the ground in front of where she
stands, and brings forth a chalice of libation o8ering containing a mi+ture of
red wine and dark honey *he ste!s forward to the re !it and !ours the
o8ering u!on the re, while chanting
-Gorgo, ormo, %m!usa, 9emures, 9amiae, edusa0- 5+67
*he then ste!s back to her original !osition and calls u!on the Dark
Goddess with the following words of invocation
-&hthonian Hekate, wake u! from your slumber and cast forth your shadow
and darksome light u!on us who are your faithful children0 'ake u!, O you
who are the dark re$ection of the world:s soul and with your cleansing and
hungry darkness embrace us, who wholeheartedly serve all your lusts and
unlawful desires0
'e invoke, beseech and !raise you, &hthonian Hekate, goddess of both the
underworld and all the black !hases of 9una0
Hail Hekate0-
#ll !artici!ants e+claim
-Hail Hekate0-
The !riestess lifts the torch in her left hand and s!eaks the following words
of invocation
-O you who are the 2ueen of the darkest night, we who serve the !owers of
the ;lack 9ight of Divine a<esty !raise you0
Hekate, beautiful mother of forbidden sorcery, kindle now the res of ho!e
and wisdom within the dark souls of your faithful children and with your
chthonic $ames illuminate the crossroads of both life and death0
Torch bearing 2ueen, let your dark light shine forth and guide our ste!s on
your tortuous and sinister !ath that we without fear tread for your glory and
our own victory0
9et your allseeing eyes look dee! within our souls, O mighty "hos!horos
Hekate, and see that we within ourselves carry the keys to the
transcendental !ower to which you are the gate0
=orceful Hekate, O you uncon2uerable goddess, grant us the !ower to
reali>e all of our darkest dreams and bless us, your chosen few, with your
endless might0
9et the gates that black &erberus guards now o!en wide and let us undergo
the &leansing of the ;lack =ire, which shall grant us the secret stone of your
mysteries0
"ro!ylia Hekate, you who guard the hidden mysteries of ()os and #ncient
/ight, let now the disharmonic emanations of your menstruum wash over
us, who through all !ast lives have carried your hidden s!arks within our
selves, and hasten our inner alchemical e+altation and transformation0
Hekate, O you crowned mistress of the dark, hear now your feared children:s
invocations and with the black $ame of your torch cleanse us fully from all
the weaknesses and limitations of this world and grant us the boon of your
own strength and innite might0
O!en wide the gates to your !lace of dwelling, which is within the darkness
beyond the light of the conscious mind, and l et us descend down to your !it
of abysmal wisdom and thus elevate us to the highest throne0
Hekate0 Hekate0 Hekate0
;e now with us, O you mighty Trimor!hos, and with the $ames of your lusts
and the !ower of your infernal magic ignite the !oisoned arrows of our True
'ill that we, in your name, have aimed at the heart of our darkest desires0-
One of the !artici!ants that has been chosen beforehand retrieves the black
dog that before the start of the ritual has been tied u! to a tree close to the
!lace of the ritual The !riestess of Hekate elects one of the !artici!ants for
the honour of giving the animal:s life force as a sacrice to the goddess The
chosen one is granted the sacricial dagger by the !riestess and awaits her
signal before the killing of the black animal hallowed to Hekate
The !riestess lifts her torch u! to the sky and says the following !rayer
before the sacrice is given to the goddess
-O you who are the mistress of the blackest magic and of all forms of
forbidden necromancy, we, who illuminated by our own inner light have
without fear or hesitation entered the darkness of the unknown, invoke and
beseech you0
'e call u!on and rouse you, O mighty Hekate0
;e now with us, your eternally faithful worshi!!ers, and acce!t the o8ering
that we are about to give to you0
O!en the gates to your dark realm and acce!t the warm blood that we are
about to s!ill in your name and in return strengthen the black magic of our
will0
The !riestess of Hekate retrieves a bowl in which the blood of the animal is
to be collected and signals to the chosen one to slit the animal:s throat The
blood is collected in the bowl, which the !riestess lifts above her head as all
!artici!ants chant the name of Hekate nine times
The !riestess ste!s forward to the re !it and !ours the blood, in a anti
clockwise fashion, over the eleven crystals surrounding the re, while all
!artici!ants vibrate three times
-#nTan.a0-
*he then !uts aside the bowl, retrieves her torch and return to her original
!osition *he !oints the torch towards the re !it, which now has become as
an o!en gate to the acausal streams within the earth 5ie the chthonic re7
The !riestess recites with a !owerful voice the following calling of the
twenty names
