God of War: Ghost of Sparta Walkthrough
Like 7

Kratos is back on the PSP, chasing the Ghosts of Sparta like some sort of bloodthisty Hamlet. The game focuses around the bald badass’ quest to find his long-
lost brother and mother, who are squirreled away in Sparta and Atlantis, respectively.

The gameplay will bring back all the elements you know and love, with lots of 3rd-person brawling, light-but-clever puzzling, and stunningly epic boss battles.
Kratos will also wield an assortment of new mythologically-inspired weaponry, all crafted with an eye toward dismemberment.

Promising more content than Chains of Olympus, the franchise’s previous PSP title, God of War: Ghosts of Sparta should live up to the series’ extremely high
standard of quality. Our full walkthrough is below.

Atlantis
1. Begin by destroying the group of underwater undead monsters by alternating between the X and triangle button. Quickly alternate between L and R to
escape if one of them takes ahold of you.
2. Use your arsenal of combos to destroy this first wave, then do the same with the next. Hold L to block attacks and Hold down triangle to launch enemies
into the air. These guys know how to use their tridents, so make sure to keep moving to avoid their strikes. While holding L and R, move your toggle
switch to perform a roll.
3. Once they are destroyed, kick through the door to head under the ship. Destroy this next wave of enemies before opening the green chest on the right to
regain some extra health.
4. Before heading out the door, open the chest to the left to gain extra power ups for weapons and magic. Head up the stairs and kick open the door.
5. These little spiders can be annoying, but watch out for the huge tentacle of this giant squid as you fend them off. Take a few shots at the tentacle to cause
it to crawl back into the sea.
6. Perform several lengthy attacks against the wall of tentacles to create a pathway to cross. Unfortunately, you’ll have to fend off more of those spiders as
you do so. The best (and most entertaining) way to destroy them is to grab them and allow Kratos to team them in half.
7. Jump and perform a few arial combos against the other tentacle at this end of the boat. Once the monster is down, press the O button to initiate the mini
game.
8. Scylla looks friendly! His mode of attack is simple: tentacle swipes and claw smashes. You’ll know when these about to come because he rear his head
back before he unleashes them.
9. When he is about to perform an attack, stay up close and in the center of his body and hold L to absorb most of the blow. As soon as he finishes his
attack, he’ll stick out his ugly head and when he does, get off as many arial combos as possible.
10. Once you cause Scylla to retreat into the sea, he’ll pop up in a different area and greet you with more of those annoying spiders. As you fight them off,
he’ll attempt to take a bite out of you, so watch out!
11. When Scylla returns back to his original position, continue to get off arial combos in between his attacks. Once he falls, perform a double jump to get up
to the crane wheel. Rapidly press the O button to activate it.
12. Carefully watch the screen and press O when necessary to complete the combo and send this beast back to the sea.
13. Jump back up to the area with the crane wheel. Double jump to grab onto the ledge above it and pull yourself up. Run around to the left and open the
chest.
14. Run around to the right and jump up onto the next ledge. Open the chest to receive a Gorgon Eye, then jump up to grab onto and slide down the rope.
15. Hold R, then release it to do a dash and break through the underwater gate. Open the chest, then swim back out and come up to the surface. Walk over
to the swirling light to save your progress.
16. Jump up the bricks, then jump up again and grab on onto the ledge. Move around to the right and around the turn. Drop down and jump up onto the next
area. Take out the underwater sea monsters before getting the health orbs from the nearby chest.
17. Take a few whacks against the makeshift door to break it down, then head down the hallway. Look for the glowing point on the wooden plank above
and use your blades to latch onto it and swing across.
18. The minotaur is a pretty intelligent fighter and will constantly be blocking your attacks. Wait for him to make the first move, perform a dash or block, then
hit him with a few combos.
19. If you get to close to the right wall you’ll be paid an unexpected visit from Scylla. After you break his hold, finish off the minotaur. Just like in previous
GOW games, press O when the icon is over its head, then when Kratos has him pinned down, tap O repeatedly to finish the kill.
20. Walk over to the lever on the right. Use O to hold it and pull it back. Jump up the ledges on the North wall and climb to the right. Before jumping up
through the entry way, continue climbing around the turn to find two hidden chests.
21. After you jump up through the entryway, head down the hallway to the left. Destroy all of the enemies in this next area. Once they are dead, perform a
wall climb to get up the next area.
22. Open the chest, then wall climb up to the ledge. Climb around the turn to your left, then jump up between the break in the rail. Turn to your right and tap
L to block the oncoming enemy blades before they hit you.
23. Destroy these three enemies before opening the chest in the back left corner. Come back around and open the gate. Hold circle to pull out the block to
the main area. Push it over to the right wall and jump up it to get to the chest on the left.
24. After you open it, hop back down and begin pushing the block all the way back down the path you originally crossed while you were blocking those
flying blade attacks. One the block is over the circular button, release it and a light should appear on the ceiling just behind the waterfalls to the left.
25. Before you cross over, you can drop down the ledge into the water and swim to the underwater alcove to get chest full of red orbs. Swim back to the
near wall, jump up to grab the ledge, then jump again to get back to your original spot.
26. When you see the O icon, press it to latch on to the spot on the ceiling. Allow Kratos to swing around a couple of times before timing your release to
jump to the other side.
27. Destroy the large post on the left for some extra red orbs. Open the chest for some extra health, then head around to the left and destroy the enemies
coming up the stairs.
28. Head down the path and latch onto the wall at the end of the pathway. Wall jump once to the right, then perform a wall slide to get to the bottom. Run
around to the left to find two hidden chests.
29. Run back and head through the open doorway to enter into the Temple of Thantos. Run towards the screen and turn left to find a chest of red orbs. Run
down the center bridge and press O to learn of the Temple.

Death Gate
1. Walk around to the right, save your game, then head through the doorway. Kick in the door at the end of the hallway. Pull on the lever in the circular
room to cause the platform to raise.
gamefront.com/god-of-war-ghost-of-s… 4/18
2/27/2011 God of War: Ghost of Sparta Walkthrou…
2. Destroy the falling enemies as the platform rises to the top. Head down the water-filled pathway and kill the attacking enemies.

City of Atlantis
1. Once you reach the drop, slide down and press X right before the edge to jump across. Open the chest, then head upstairs.
2. Who doesn’t love a good cyclops fight? Unfortunately, a gate will go up, so you’ll be in tight quarters. Luckily, he moves pretty slow. It might take a
while, but unleash a few lengthy combos in between his fist pounds. When the O icon appears, tap it to complete the kill.
3. Kill the underwater seas monsters that appear over the edge of the area. Once the gate falls, head down the stairs and open the chest. Head back up the
stairs, then up the next set of stairs and through the doorway to the Temple.
4. Turn right at the end of the hallway and destroy the pots in this area to get a few extra red orbs. Walk up to the statue of Poseidon, hold O and release to
kick the statue out of the way.
5. Drop down into the whole and swim to the left and up through the next whole. Jump out and open the two nearby chests. Jump back into the water and
swim up and over to the far right whole.
6. Head down the hallway, open the chest on the left, then pull up the door. Destroy the enemies around to the right before sprinting down the bridge. Save
your game and open the chest next to the left statue before heading up the steep pathway.

Temple of Poseidon
1. Head up the stairs and push open the large door. Following that strange encounter with your mother, she will turn into a beast named Callisto. He moves
slow, but watch out for his claw attacks and his dash attacks.
2. If he happens to pin you against a wall, repeatedly tap L and R to break free, the press the appropriate buttons on the screen to deliver a crushing blow.
3. The best time to get in a few combos is after Callisto makes a dash attempt and crashes into a wall. Once he is dead, walk to his lifeless body and press
O to finish him off.
4. Press O to pick up Callisto’s armlet, then head up the pathway. Walk towards the gate in front of you and press O to obtain the Eye of Atlantis. You and
now press the right arrow to activate the “Eye of the Storm.” Test it out on the group of enemies that appear.
5. Once they have been destroyed, head through he newly opened doorway on the right. Destroy the pots down the pathway and if you have not done so
already, you should have enough red orbs to upgrade your Blades of Chaos.
6. Open the two chests at the end of the pathway which should be your third Gorgon Eye and a Phoenix Feather. Head back to the main area and through
the doorway on the left.
7. Turn left up the pathway and out onto the platform area where you will be greeted by the tentacles of Scylla. After he drags you into the cave, press O to
bash his head and send him back underwater.
8. Follow the pathway and keep in mind that you can destroy the tiny triangular rocks for more red orbs. Open the chest on the left for another Phoenix
feather, then get the two chests on the right.
9. After you save your game, turn back to the left and wall climb up the wall to the top of the ceiling. Once you reach it, climb over to the right. Carefully
climb down and continue climbing across the ceiling.
10. As you make your way across, clear the path by destroy those tiny lava rocks and kill those annoying spiders. Once you reach the end, press L to drop
down.
11. Open the chest on the right, then walk to the edge and press O to swing across the two lights to get across to the other side. Jump up on the ledge and
then up onto the next level. Turn left and head down the pathway to the next area.

The Caldera
1. Jump down the steps and sprint across the platform and up the net set of steps before they fall into the lava. Head down the pathway.
2. Continue down the pathway, open the chest, save your game and head through the doorway. Jump off the ledge and run to the far door and open it. Run
up the path to meet Thera.
3. After Thera shares her sob story with you, walk to the little light, press O to latch your blades onto her and rotate the toggle stick in a circular motion to
acquire Thera’s Bane.
4. As soon as you take it, turn around and run like hell for the door. After Lanaeus brings one of those statues to life, hold R to use Thera’s Bane and ignite
your blades. Regular attacks and combos won’t work on this guy––you have to use the Bane or magic to defeat him.
5. Once he’s down, press O to compete the kill and receive the Automaton Gear. Head for the door on the left side of the area and open it.
6. In the next room, open the chest to the left to get another Gorgon Eye. Destroy the large screw to the right to create a makeshift bridge. Cross over, turn
through the doorway and head down the hallway.
7. Hold O and press R when prompted to do so in order to break through the fractured wall. Open the two chests to the left and ascend up the pathway.
Jump out to the left and perform a slide down the slope. Remember to jump before you reach the edge to get to the other side.
8. Take out the two minotaurs, but beware of the annoying lava-drenched harpies that show up. Open the chest to your preferred color (green orbs for live,
blue for magic), then pull back the lever located on the left side of the area.
9. Quickly run back up to the opening and jump on the large piece of molten rock as it floats by. Destroy those pesky spiders as you float down this river of
lava.
10. After you pass through the tunnel, jump out and wall climb up the nearby wall before your platform disintegrates. Save if you need to and open the chest
to acquire a Minotaur Horn.
11. Walk to the ledge and carefully move across to the other side. Destroy the screw using the Bane, then jump up to the next level and head down the
pathway.

12. When you come to the fractured doorway, open the two chests first, then bust through the doorway. Open the chest full of red orbs before entering
through the narrow walkway just to the left of it.

Volcano Core
1. As you continue to slowly move across the ledge, Scylla will rear his ugly head again. Watch closely and press the appropriate on-screen button icons
when necessary in order to finally lay this beast to rest.
2. With Scylla finally dead, jump on and wall climb on the wall behind you. Move over to the right, but before you make a wall leap over the gap, drop
down and you will find two hidden chests with one of them containing a Gorgon Eye.
3. Wall climb all the way up to the top, head down the hallway and swing across the two swinging points on the ceiling. Keep in mind that after the first
swinging point you might have to perform a double jump by tapping X again in order to get close enough to latch onto the next one with your blades.
4. Climb up the short wall and move over to the right. With Kraotos’ right arm dangling over the edge, press X to jump across to the next ledge.
5. As you move along to the right, the ledge will suddenly break and you will begin a slide on the slope down below. Remember to press X before the slope
ends and you will safely jump out to a wall.
6. Quickly perform several wall leaps to get up the wall without getting burned. This next part is a bit tricky: quickly run across this sinking platform and
jump onto the next. Jump and press O to latch onto the light located in the upper right corner of the screen. Make a huge leap out to the left and latch
onto the wall.
7. Wall leap over the gap and move around to the left. Wall leap across the waterfall of lava and then begin your long wall climb assent up the two narrow
walls. Be on the lookout because you’ll have to wall leap back and forth between the two sides to avoid getting hit by falling craters.
8. Once you make it to the gap in the wall, the game will shoot to a cut scene and you’ll be done with this fiery inferno.

Island of Crete
1. Open the chests if you need to, then proceed down the path and save your game. Head up the ladder to the right. Destroy the surrounding boxes and
crates for extra red orbs before carefully walking across the center beam.
2. Jump up to grab onto the ledge on the right and move across to the left. Drop down to the next ledge, then drop again to get back to ground level.
3. Open the chest full of red orbs. Wall hug the nearby wall and move across to the right. Perform a sidle leap when the screen prompts you to grab on to
the ledge above.
4. Move around the corner, drop down to the ledge below, then pull yourself up. Move around to the left and take care of business against these undead
monsters. Combos are fun, but your magic shield is most effective.
5. Once they have all been destroyed, open the chest and head up the ladder. Jump out to the ladder to the right and climb up to the top. Destroy the
miscellaneous pots and open the chest, located to the right just after you cross the wood floorboard.
6. Double jump to grab onto the rope above and head across. Cross the bridges, destroy the enemies and open the two chests. Jump across to the next
area and drop down into the hole in the floor.
7. Open the chest to the right. Get behind the block and push it through the doorway. Don’t mind the guys shooting arrows at you––the block will serve as
a shield. When you get close enough, take out the enemy on the ground first, then continue pushing the block against the wall.
8. Jump onto the block, then will perform a mid-air magic attack with your shield to take care of the three enemies up top. Open the chest and jump up
through the opening.
9. Open the two chests in this circular area for some goodies, then double jump to grab onto the rope and zipline down. Once you land, save your game.

Temple of Athena
1. Head up stairs to go see Athena. After you break the statue in a fit of rage, destroy the small group of pots to the right to find Athena’s Owl.
2. Climb up the rope located in the back left corner of the area. Jump out onto the bridge, run to the back and pull on the lever to cause the platform to
raise. Wall climb up the wall to the left.
3. Destroy the wooden beam in your way and make your way across to the other side. Head down the pathway and open the two chests. Continue down
into the area with the hell hounds and go to town on them.
4. In order to get to the next area, you’ll have to grab ahold of a few of them and kick them into the large winding gears. Once you destroy the gears and kill
all of the hounds, head out onto the platform and spin the crankshaft counterclockwise to lower the platform.
5. At the bottom, head through the tunnel. When you see the lever, turn left down the hallway and jump up to find a couple hidden chests. Go back to the
lever, push it forward, then jump out and press O to latch onto the passing hook.
6. Once you reach the other side, drop down and open the nearby chest. Move to the next area and repeat the same steps of pulling the lever and pressing
O to latch on to the passing hook. As soon as you grab, jump across to reach the other side.
7. Head up the pathway and up and over the wall. Open the chest to receive a Gorgon eye. Walk up the tiny slope and push the lever so that the huge
block is hanging over the burning building.
8. Climb up the ladder, jump off and pull down on the lever (poor guy). Head over to the dead guy, pick up his body and place it on the circular button
located just to the right of the burning building.
9. Pull the lower lever back to its original position, climb up the ladder and pull the lever to cause to huge block to drop. As soon as it drops, don’t waste
your time climbing down the ladder, just drop down and make a mad dash for the block.
10. Walk through the doorway and open the two chests. Head down the pathway and grab onto the rope at the end. Move across to the right. Jump out to
grab onto the other rope, then jump out again to land in the next area.
11. And just when you thought there wouldn’t be any Medusas––viola! Watch out stone-inducing glares! After you take care of them, head through the

gamefront.com/god-of-war-ghost-of-s… 6/18

hallway in the back left corner of the room.
12. Open the chest at the end of hallway before turning left out into the courtyard.
13. Open the chest in the back right corner of the courtyard to find a Minotaur Horn. Drop into the water and swim over to the left side. Perform a dash to
break through the wall.
14. Swim to the back right corner of this area and open the chest of red orbs. Come to the surface and open the two chests. Pull open the gate to the left and
head up the slope once outside.

The Gates of Crete

1. Head down the stairs to the right and kill all of the enemies in this area. After the blue walls disappear, head up the far set of stairs. Grab onto the rope
and zip-line across.
2. Open the two chests, then head up the stairs and kill the harpies. Jump up onto the ledge, then jump up again to get up top.

Heraklion
1. Carefully make your way across the beams and save your game. Before heading through the doorway, head around to the left, up and ladder and find a
hidden chest with a Phoenix Feather.
2. Head back down and through the doorway. Head up the stairs and jump down into the main area where you’ll have to fight…whoever this guy is. He’s
slow, but his fists pack a punch, so keep moving.
3. This will be a tedious battle because you’ll have to break his armor using Thera’s Bane before you can actually inflict any damage against him. With his
armor destroyed, it’s clear that this is just another cyclops.
4. With the cyclops destroyed, break through the fractured door. Open the chest inside, then head up the spiral staircase to the left. Once up top, break
through the barricade and head outside.
5. Before you cross the rope, drop down and kill all of the bow-and-arrow enemies in this area. Get the two chests in the front left corner, then jump back
up on the ledge and make your way across the rope.
6. Head through the doorway and open the two chests at the end of the hall. Head down the slope and turn left. Through the doorway you’ll see a light
indicating a swing point. Run out, perform a double jump, then tap O to grab on and swing through the brick wall below.
7. Kill all of the enemies in this area, then open the big gate. Open the two chests and save your game.

Heraklion Forum
1. Head across the pathway and into the next area where you will have to battle a large group of enemies. After the blue shields dissolve, break through the
fractured wall.
2. Climb up the ladder and jump back towards the screen to land on the bridge. Open the chest to the right, then head across to the left. As soon as you
walk out on the first beam, move over to the one on the right and drop down to find two hidden chests.
3. Head back to the left and open the gate to get back to the original spot. Carefully navigate your way across the beams, then kick in the door at the end of
the hallway.
4. Head up the steps to the left and into the next room. Grab the half-broken piece of statue and push it in front of the ivory pillars. Use it as a step and jump
up. Lift up the door in the back right corner, then jump back down.
5. Grab the piece of statue again and push it back through the doorway in the back right corner of the room. Push it all the way up the ramp and against the
burning pile of rocks. Use it as a step to find two hidden chests on the ledge above.
6. Get behind the statue and push it towards the edge of the ledge. When the screen prompts you, press O repeatedly to push the statue over the edge and
through the ground.
7. Jump down and head through the doorway. Move along the path way and pick up The Key of Crete. Use it to open the big door, then head on through.

Streets of Heraklion
1. Proceed forward and eliminate all of the skeletal enemies in this area. Once the platform lowers, jump up and move across it to the other side. Open the
chest and save your game.
2. Head through the doorway. Walk over to the wall and jump up onto the ledge. Move over to the right and jump across the lava to the other side. Open
the chest and head down the pathway and up the ladder.
3. Open the chest and head down the pathway to the right. These chicks can be a bit of a hassle, what with the disappearing and reappearing. Magic works
great! With them dead, head up the slope and open the chests.
4. Jump down to the left. As soon as the camera cuts back to you, sprint away from the burning bridge and break through the barricade. Slide down and
jump across and break through the next barricade.
5. Continue sprinting across the bridge and make sure you never stop running. Once you make it onto solid ground, head down the path and open the two
chests on alternate sides of the path.
6. Walk up the stairs and under the two huge statues. Walk up the stairs and pull on the lever to raise the platform. Head up the stairs to the right. Walk in
front of the two large double doors and press O to spin the key to open them.
7. Head up the stairs where you will have to battle this dude carrying a huge boulder on his back (Atlas?) He’s not too difficult––just watch out when he
raises that huge boulder or you’ll be smashed.
8. After you have destroyed him, head through the doorway and open the chests at the end of the hall. Head up the next set of stairs and open the two

gamefront.com/god-of-war-ghost-of-s… 7/18
2/27/2011 God of War: Ghost of Sparta Walkthrou…
chests before unlocking this set of double doors.
9. Destroy all enemies in the outside area. Follow the path around and open the next large set of double doors.

1. Move across the bridge, open the chests and save your game. Continue down the bridge. Kill those pesky spiders, then climb up the wall to your left.
2. After you’ve made your way across, jump up onto the angled part of the ledge, jump up to the next one and climb around before you pull yourself up.
Tap O to push over the large pillar. Drop down and open the chest to the left.
3. Hug the wall and make your way around the tower. After you’ve jumped out an landed on the area down and to the left (it’s tough, so don’t be
discouraged if you don’t land on your first try), enjoy killing a few cyclopes. Before climbing up the wall, destroy the rocks blocking the alcove to the left
to find two hidden chests.
4. Open the chest once up top, then head down the path. After you talk to the fallen soldier, head towards the ladder. Open the chest before climbing the
ladder. Once up top, spin the wheel to lower the nearby platform.
5. Drop down, get behind the cart of stones and push them onto the platform. Climb back up the ladder, spin the wheel and push the cart off the edge to the
left. Drop back down and destroy the pseudo-harpy things.
6. Head toward the wheel behind you and spin it. Hop on the lowered platform before it raises. Destroy the rocks blocking the alcove to find a hidden
chest. Head to the edge of the broken bridge.
7. Perform a double jump to grab onto the hanging stone. Climb around to the right and jump out to the now exposed beams in the wall. Move over to the
left, pull yourself up to hug the wall and move along the wall to the left to find a hidden area with three chests full of red orbs!
8. Move back out and wall leap up the two ledges to get up top. After you save your game and open the two chests, double jump to grab onto the rope
and make your way across.

Chasm of Solace
1. Once you get across, take out the enemies firing the arrows at you first. Open the chest, then drop back down and kill the harpies. Head through the
tunnel in the back left corner of the area.
2. When you reach the other side, press O to latch onto the swing point and climb up the wall that you land on. Double jump back to your left to get a
Phoenix Feather in the chest.
3. Jump back and head through the tunnel. This hedgehog-like creature moves a little quicker than previous enemies––and he has little clones to help him do
his bidding. Keep moving and using your magic would probably be the best method for taking care of this beast.
4. Once you defeat him and the blue wall dissolves, head down that pathway. Navigate the crate across the bridge, but move quickly because the flying
arrows will be pretty annoying. Once you get close enough, take out the enemies and open the two chests.
5. Grab the crate again and push it in between the two torches. Jump on top and grab onto the isolated platform. Jump up to grab onto the rope and zip-line
across to the next small platform.
6. Wall climb up the wall and to the left. Break the the pieces of wood blocking the alcove using your blades, then hop up inside. Give the statue a few
whacks using the Bane, then kill him once he comes to life.
7. Get back on the wall and climb down to the original spot. Destroy the blockade in front of the alcove to the right and crawl through. Run to the back and
spin the wheel to open the gate.
8. Get back on the wall again, crawl to the top and transfer under to the top of the ceiling. Crawl across the ceiling until you reach the gate, then drop down.
Open the chests and save your game (don’t forget the chest in the opposite corner with the Gorgon Eye).
9. Drop down into the pool of water. Swim towards the screen to find a hidden chest of red orbs. Follow the on-screen instructions and use a dash
maneuver to get through the current. When you see the light on the wooden beams, press O to latch onto it.
10. From there, wait for the opening in the spinning wheel, then shoot through. Before going to the surface, swim down towards the alcove in the far wall to
find another hidden chest.
11. Once you reach the surface, head down the tunnel. Destroy all of the enemies in this area, open the chest and continue down the path. After you cross the
bridge, run around the path to the right to find a hidden chest of red orbs.
12. Head back around and all the way up the path.

Aroania Pass
1. Don’t be distracted by Erinys’…uh…attire. She moves quick and her dashes will do some damage, so make sure you have your finger on L and be
ready to block. She will also call on her feathery friends to pester you, but just grab them to rip them apart.
2. Despite her size, Erinys can withstand a lot of damage. Ergo, this fight will be tedious. Unleash combos and use all of your magic to defeat her. Once you
see the O above her head, tap it to rip off her wings.
3. After she flies away, keep your eye on the screen and press the appropriate button when she flies by to lock onto her wings. After you bring her down,
she will fly away again, but this time when she comes back she will destroy the platform that you are standing on.
4. Continue to closely watch the screen and press the appropriate buttons when prompted to as you slide down the broken pieces of the bridge. Once you
get into free fall mode, continue to press X to catch up to Erinys. This part may take a while, so be patient.
5. Once you get close enough, you should see the O button on your screen––tap it to latch on. Once on, hold R to ignite your blades and get off as many
hits as you can before you are thrown off. You will have to repeat this process several times be fore you finally take her down.
6. Once back on the ground, sprint towards the fallen Erinys. But make sure you have your finger on L so that you are ready to block her fireball blasts.
Once you get close enough, tap O to finish her off and acquire the Scourge of Erinys.
7. After all that work, you’ll have to engage in more fighting in the center area. But now you get to test out your new toy, which is a lethal killing machine.
After you take out all of the enemies, head down the path, open the two chests and save your game before heading up to Sparta.

Sparta
1. As you walk through the streets of Sparta, enjoy the sights, meet some people (…check out the brothel) and open chests along the way. Once you see
the two boys play-fighting, Kratos will have a memory of him and his brother as kids and you will have to defeat Deimos to learn of your past.
2. Following your memory, turn around and head through the raised gate. Save your game and climb down the ladder.

Jails of Sparta
1. Open the two chests, then pull the lever at the end of the pathway. Destroy the barricade to the left to find a chest of red orbs. Head back out and kill the
enemies before continuing down the hallway in the back right corner.
2. Pull the lever and open the gate. Destroy the barricade to the left to find another hidden chest. Head into the area where “the dissenter” escaped from and
destroy the wall of bricks to find another hidden chest.
3. Head through the tunnel on the right. Grab the chest at the end, then head up the ladder that you passed on the right. Walk towards the screen to find two
chests of red orbs, then open the gate at the other end.
4. After you destroy all of the enemies in this area, allow the gate to open in front of you, then proceed through. Open the chests, then head down the path
where you will have to face the Piraeus Lion.
5. This guy is a beast. Between his migraine-inducing roars and his huge paw swipes, he is a bit of tricky boss. The Scourge of Erinys should come in handy,
but if you run out of magic, he shouldn’t be too hard to take town with a few lethal combos.
6. With the lion dead, go hunt down that punk that locked you in there. After you kill him, pick up his body and head down the tunnel. Drop his body on the
square indentation, open the two chests and climb up the ladder.

Mounts of Laconia
1. Open the two chests and kill the hounds that will be waiting for you around the path. Hop up the ledge and save your game. Latch on to the nearby swing
point and swing across the chasm to the other side.
2. Open the chest around the turn, then latch on to the swing to swing around to the wall. Jump on the rope and make your way across the chasm. Open the
chest, hug the wall and carefully make your way across.
3. Once you reach the entry way, drop down and press O in midair to grab on to the swing point inside. Head down the tunnel and destroy all of the
enemies in the next area. With that taken care of, proceed down the path and swing across the swing point to reach the wall.
4. Drop down to open the chest of red orbs, then make your way up the wall and to the right to find a chest with a Phoenix Feather inside. Continue across
to the left, destroying enemies along the way. Jump across the waterfall and continue to climb over and up until you reach the top.
5. Break through the fractured wall and head down the tunnel. Destroy the enemies, open the two chests and double jump to zip-line down the rope. Take
the next rope across and wall climb up the middle part of the wall.

Temple of Ares
1. After you save your game, head up the winding path. Walk up the stairs and open the talking door. Head up in the room behind the statue of Ares. Open
the two chests on either side of the steps, then head along the wall on the right side.
2. For this minigame, you’ll have to beat up your younger self and use his body to break the giant mirror. Once you take ahold of your self, use the control
stick to break the four points of the mirror.
3. With the mirror destroyed, press O to acquire The Skull of Keres. Exit the temple back out through the front door. Walk down the winding path to the
left where you will be given the Arms of Sparta by the soldier.
4. Test out your new toys by destroying all of the enemies in this area. With all of them destroyed, head through the opening and down the path. After
you’ve open the chests and saved your game, switch to your shield and use it to deflect the incoming arrows.
5. Take care of these guys and open the nearby chest to get a Minotaur Horn. Head in through the cave. Pull the lever on the platform to raise it up. Head
around the path to the left. Open the chests and defeat the enemies across the bridge. Use the Scourge of Erinys to take out the two enemies with arrows
down below.
6. Continue across the bridge. Head all the way around the path to find a somewhat hidden chest. Head back and wall climb up the wall to the right and
open the three chests. Pull on the lever to raise the platform.
7. You won’t have much room to destroy this beast on this narrow bridge, but you’ve defeated one before, so it shouldn’t be too hard. One you take care
of him, continue across the bridge and save.
8. Continue down the tunnel. Hug the right wall and carefully walk across the ledge. Open the two chests before heading out onto the bridge. Kill the
enemies across the gap before making the jump to get across.
9. Press O to swing on to the swing point, then double jump to get across. Before you get too far down the tunnel, switch to your shield to protect you from
“incoming hazards.”

Shrine of Boreas
1. Once you make it through those frigid winds, pick up the Horn of Boreas. Have fun testing it as you destroy all of the enemies in this area. With them
destroyed, head into the shrine.

Canyons of Sorrow

2/27/2011 God of War: Ghost of Sparta Walkthrou…

1. Head down the path and save your game along he way. Kill all enemies in the next area, then open the two chests. Walk over toward the ledge next to
the torch and jump out onto the wall and slide down. Before you reach the bottom, press X to jump and then O to swing to the next slope.
2. Destroy all of the enemies in this next area. Use the Scourge of Erinys to take out the two annoying bow-and-arrow- shooters up on the platform, then
worry about the guys on ground level.
3. Open the chest, then jump up on the ledge and head down the tunnel. Open the chest, then break the barricade just to the right it. Jump and grab onto the
now exposed beam. Walk over to the right to get Minotaur Horn in the chest.
4. Move back to the left and jump up to reach the next level. Walk around the turn, then jump up and grab the beam on the wall in front of you. Jump
across to the beam to your left, then jump up and enter through the tunnel.
5. Jump over the lava and continue on the path. Climb up the ladder to your left when you reach the bridge. Open the chest to your left, then break the
fractured wall at the other end. Walk to the end and pull the lever 360 degrees.
6. Head back out and hug the wall to the left, across the broken planks. Once to the edge, jump out to dive across the chasm. Pull yourself up and kill the
spiders. Jump straight across the next chasm to open a chest with a Phoenix Feather inside. Jump back across and head through the doorway.

River of Lament
1. Using your shield and spear, throw your spear at the two pillars. Once this lowers the ceiling, tap O to latch onto the ceiling and pull it down. Turn left
and climb up the wall. Transfer across the ceiling and make your way down the golden wall.
2. Slide down and grab The King’s Ring. Head over to the right to find a chest with red orbs. Head through the opening and follow the pathway around to
find two chests. Go back to the ledge and jump up to save your game.
3. Turn left up the path and jump out to grab the rope. Slide down about halfway, turn to your left and jump out to the platform to get a Phoenix Feather.
Continue back down the rope to the bottom.
4. Switch to your shield and spear and use them to kill the two enemies up on the bridge. Walk under the bridge and take out the next few enemies across
the way. Turn the wheel to open the gate and head on through.
5. The enemies in this area have shields, so they might take a little longer to defeat. After you take care of them, open the chest in the back. Head through
the pathway on the right. After you hop over the lava, open the chest.
6. Continue down the path. If you really want to open the chest next to the statue, you’ll have to break the statue, then defeat the enemy. Jump down off the
ledge and kill the enemies in this area. Open the two chests, then jump across the platform to reach the chest with the Minotaur Horn.
7. Jump back across. Head up the slope and zip-line down the rope. Turn right to find a chest full of red orbs. Climb up the rope on the other side. Skip the
first opening and continue climbing. Jump out onto the ledge just above. Open the chest at the end of the bridge to get some extra red orbs.
8. Get back on the rope and climb down to that first opening. Jump through it and head down the pathway. Double jump across the sinking platforms and
head through the tunnel to find King Midas.
9. After you sock him in the face, pick up his body and head back through the tunnel. Destroy the hounds that come out, then give Midas another knuckle
sandwich and pick up his body again. You’ll have to repeat this process several times before Kratos finally kills Midas.
10. Jump out onto the golden path of lava and cross over to open the chest on the right. Wall climb up the golden wall to get up top. Open the two chests
and save your game.

Road to Atlantis
1. Proceed up the pathway. Destroy all of the enemies in front of the gate. Open the chest, destroy the gate and head through to find a Phoenix Feather.
Head around to the left and climb up the makeshift ladder.
2. Head up the stairs and destroy all of the enemies in this area. Use your Scourge of Erinys to destroy the enemies up on top of the balcony. With all of
them destroyed, open the chest on ground level, then jump up to open a chest of red orbs.
3. Hop down and follow the path around to the left. Open the chest, break down the gate and head on through. Use your shield and spear to kill the
enemies across the way before crossing the beams. (Make sure to open the chest in the alcove of the right wall.)
4. Lift up the door and save the game.

Port of Atlantis
1. Before you head down the path, walk towards the screen and open the two chests on the right. When you reach the tower, take a few whacks against
the chain. You’ll then be greeted by bats and cyclopses––destroy them.
2. Open the chest at the other end of the area. Step inside the tower and destroy the other chain in front of Kratos to drop the platform. Run down the
pathway all the way towards the screen to find a Minotaur Horn.
3. Kill the enemies across the bridge, open the chests and spin the wheel to walk aboard the boat.

The Vortex
1. Are your button smashing skills are up to par? You’ll have to fight off what seems like every enemy in the game as you all into the abyss. You’ll also have
to deal with bolts of lightning, so keep moving to avoid getting struck.

Sunken Atlantis

gamefront.com/god-of-war-ghost-of-s… 10/18
2/27/2011 God of War: Ghost of Sparta Walkthrou…
1. Save your game and open the two chests. Fall into the water and swim down the path. After you get pushed aside by the current, swim straight up and
make a right down the pathway.
2. Open the chest of red orbs, then continue up the tunnel and to the surface. After you pass all of the panic-stricken natives, take note of that chick that falls
in the water and don’t make the same mistake.
3. Press O to latch onto the wall with your blades. From there, jump out onto the wall and climb up. Jump off on the ledge on the right. If you want some
more red orbs, run towards the screen and jump across the chasm to reach.
4. Jump back across and head into the room where you will have defeat another one of those enemies carrying the huge bolder on his back. After he has
been destroyed, head through the now open gate and kill the enemies down the path.
5. Climb up the wall in between the waterfalls, open the chest and save your game. Break through the bricks to the left to find two hidden chests. (Don’t
break the next set of loose bricks––it’s a trap!)
6. Head down the tunnel and jump into the water. Swim down and head through the pathway. Break through the gate to open the chest of red orbs, then
swim up. Pull on the lever to the right, then the one on the left and swim through the opening. Dash through and tap O when prompted to in order to grab
onto a plank.
7. Press R to push off to the left. Break through the gate and rise up to the surface. Head down the path. Swing from the swing point and make sure to not
accidentally land in the water.
8. Turn the lever 360 degrees to cause the platform to raise. Naturally, you will have to fight off enemies along the way. Use the shield and spear for
enemies in the distance throwing objects, then quickly switch back to your blades to fight enemies that join you on the platforms.
9. Once the platform reaches the top, defeat the rest of the enemies, then cross the bridge. Open the two chests and head up the first set of stairs. Turn right
when you reach the circular room and head down the steps. Follow this pathway all the way down to talk to Athena.

Nexus of Atlantis
1. Head down the pathway, save your game and head outside. Destroy the enemies in this area. Walk over to the middle pillar on the left and tap O
repeatedly to push all three over.
2. Walk to the nearby wall and climb up. Cross the waterfall and drop down the other side. Walk out to the edge of the water fall and press O to swing
from the statue to the other side. Open the chest and climb down the wall.
3. Walk to the center area and kill all of the enemies before moving on. Head up the short set of stairs on the left and climb up the wall. Walk to the edge
and press O to swing across the statue. Open the chests and save your game before opening the door.
4. Head down the pathway and like before, kill all enemies in the next area. Head through the next hallway and head up the stairs. Open the three chests
once outside before crossing the bridge.
5. Press O to spin the wheel in front of the bright blue light. Head back across the bridge, down the stairs and into the circular room. Again, you have
destroy all of the enemies before moving on.
6. Head through the next entryway, down the path and pull open the door. Walk to the edge and press O to swing across the statue to the other side. Climb
up the wall to get up to the next level.
7. Open the chest in the right corner towards the screen, then head down the pathway. Open the chests and turn right down the path. Climb up the wall on
the left, move over to the right and transfer down and across the ceiling.
8. After Lanaeus closes the gate on you, turn left and keep moving along the ceiling to make your way around. Climb down the wall once you reach it, then
switch to your shield and spear and throw your spear at Lanaeus to knock him into the water.
9. With the gate now down, climb back up the wall and all the way back around. Press L when prompted to in order to drop down. Press O to pick up the
Automaton Gear and knock that fool out in the face.
10. Jump over to the platform on the right and head down the pathway. Once outside, you will have to defeat a group of enemies in order to cross the bridge.
Your shield and spear will work best here.
11. Walk toward the blue light, and press O to place the Gear inside. Run towards the screen and head back across the bridge. Cross the new bridge that
extends to the doorway on the left.
12. Head down the hallway and jump inside the water. Swim to the bottom and open the two chests. Swim up and then through the tunnel. When you reach
the two colliding walls, get as close as you can to them without getting smashed. As soon as they open, perform two quick dashes, press O you see the
icon and quickly rotate your toggle stick to pull yourself in.
13. Press R to push off down the next tunnel. You will get caught in a current, so press O as soon as you see the icon in order to latch onto the pole and not
get smashed. Reel yourself in, then press R to propel yourself down the next tunnel.
14. Turn left at the dead end and open the chest. Dash to break through the wall and the end of the tunnel. Swim to the surface, head down the pathway,
destroy the enemies and open the chests.
15. Turn left and kill the two enemies up the stairs. When you reach the edge, jump off into the center area where you will again have to kill all of the
attacking enemies. After the gates drop, walk upstairs and hold O at the device to cause the huge statues to raise a series of bridges.
16. Cross the bridges and save your game before running to the end and climbing up the wall. Run to the edge of the platform, press O, cross the bridge and
enter inside The Domain of Death.

The Domain of Death

1. Once inside, pick up The Bonds of Ares and save your game. Head up the path and open the two chests. Throw your spear at the three lanterns, then
use your blades to swing across to the other side.
2. Destroy all of the enemies in this area. After the blue shield goes down, climb down the wall. Move around to the right and destroy the plant with
attacking arms. Continue down the path and double jump over the gap.
3. Jump up the two ledges. Kill the birds and open the two chests. Jump up onto the ledge and head through the path. Destroy the sets of attacking plants
gamefront.com/god-of-war-ghost-of-s… 11/18
2/27/2011 God of War: Ghost of Sparta Walkthrou…
and strike the tentacle blocking the doorway to cause it to move.
4. Make the turn and take a few swings at the tentacle again to cause it to move. Latch onto the swing point, then quickly jump out to land on the ledge.
Climb up two sets of walls as you make your way up the tower.
5. Destroy all of the enemies in this area. Turn right and walk past the block with the light. Press O to pull out the statue and open the hidden chest in behind
to find a Phoenix Feather.
6. Grab the block and push it against the far left wall. Use it as a step and jump onto the ledge. Open the chest, then head around the path and save your
game.

Hall of Damnation
1. Turn right after you head into the Hall. Destroy the gremlins, then open the chests before you head upstairs. Before you can meet Thanatos, you’ll have to
take on a few cyclopses first. Pretty simple: destroy their armor first, then finish them off.

Temple of Thanatos
1. One you enter into the temple, save your game and open the two chests. Continue through the doorway to the right. After you walk down the stairs, turn
left to find a chest with some extra orbs.
2. Go back, grab the block and push it to the right. After the turn, go open the chest of red orbs and then place the block under the chain. Double jump to
grab onto it. Make your way all the way across to get another chest of red orbs. (The best way to kill the attacking enemies is to grab onto them with
your legs.)
3. Grab back onto the chain. Line up with the moving platform across the way and wait for it to stop before leaping across. Move around to the left front
corner and then jump out to the chain on the other side.
4. Move to the right and drop down. Break through the fractured wall. Walk on through, open the chests and save the game. Hug the right wall and slowly
move across the narrow ledge.
5. Jump up to the next ledge and move all the way across to the left. As soon as the huge moving wall closes in, jump out, climb up and sprint down the hall.
Perform a quick dash to enter through the doorway on the right without getting smashed.
6. Walk towards the screen and turn right down the stairs. Turn left through the opening and head into the hallway. Use The Scourge of Erinys against your
enemies while you run around and destroy the four large gears.
7. Kill the rest of the remaining enemies, then head out the same doorway and back up the stairs. Turn right out the doorway and press O to push the large
block all of the way down the hallway. Once you pass the opening on the left, push it just a bit further to find two hidden chests.
8. Head through the pathway and open the chest at the end before opening the door. Open the chest on the other side before using you spear to knock
down the lantern to the left. Walk to the edge and perform a series of swing and jump combos to get up to the next level.
9. Open the two chests at the end of the path, then jump up to reach the next area where you will have to kill a ton of enemies. After you have done so, turn
left and head across the bridge.
10. Kill the enemies at the end of the bridge, open the two chests, then pull open the door to the right. Before you enter in, continue around to the right and
pull on the lever. Head through the doorway and up the stairs.
11. After you make the turn, switch to your shield and use it to block the oncoming flames. Once you reach the center platform, throw you spear at the two
gears on either side of the door to cause it to close.
12. Turn the lever so that the bridge turns 90 degrees. The mouth on the door will burn three times and on the third time the fire will come shooting out again.
As soon as it does, grab your shield again to block it. Repeat the step of throwing your spear at the gears to cause the door to close, then turn the lever
another 90 degrees to make the bridge meet up with the door.
13. Block the flames again, then run on through the doorway and jump over the furnace. Open the chest of red orbs, then head up the stairs. Open the two
chests and save your game before heading up the stairs.
14. After you open the door to find your brother hanging from some chains, walk up to tree on the left and take a few whacks to break one of the chains.
Switch to your spear and throw it at the other chain to free him.
15. Deimos will be a little pissed off and you are going to have to battle him. He’s a cagey fighter, but he lacks your combos and your magic. He will take a
lot of damage, but after quite a bit of fighting he will charge you and push you over the balcony.
16. After he gets taken away, get to your feet and walk toward the edge of the cliff to follow after him.

Suicide Bluffs
1. Once you grab onto the wall, make your way up, destroying the rocks along the way. Jump across the gap and transfer under to the ceiling. Continue to
make your way over until you reach the cliff, then walk up to Deimos and pull him up.
2. Follow Deimos up the stairs where you will open the two chests and save your game. Continue over to the right for the final fight against Thanatos.
3. Thanatos is quick, but you will have your brother to help you in this battle. As usual, your magic is the best way to inflict damage and get off crazy
combos. But don’t waste all your magic here––you will need it later.
4. The first part is relatively easy, but Thanatos in his huge, beast form is a little trickier. He will be relentless with his fireball blasts from his mouth, so keep
your finger on L to block them.
5. The only time you will be able to get a few hits in is when he is distracted by Deimos or when he is temporarily wounded and drops his head to the
ground. Continue to work on his exposed left hand and use whatever magic you may have left.
6. Thanatos will revert back again to his…human form? Continue to battle him until he switches back to his beast form. When he does, once you get him to
fall on his arm, get off as many combos as possible and press the O button when it appears. Keep your eyes on the screen and press the right buttons

gamefront.com/god-of-war-ghost-of-s… 12/18
2/27/2011 God of War: Ghost of Sparta Walkthrou…
when prompted to.
7. Unfortunately, you will have to go solo the rest of the way. Go all out and get off as many hits as possible once he drops his head. When he reverts back
yet again, approach him and tap O to engage in the last minigame to finally kill Thanatos.
8. Will Thanatos dead, go pick up your brother and carry his body up the stairs and burry his body to complete the game.

Hey Melanie,

I think the reason they have 41 parts is because GOW is filled with so many different areas. However, a lot of these areas are so short and are completed
so quickly that I just combined them with other “parts.”

Happy playing

After what u said, there are still other parts…like the temple of Zeus. The temple of Zeus needs 1000000 red orbs.To use Zeus in the combat Arena U
need to go to each clear ball and infuse the orbs. When u r done(going to every clear ball and infusing the orbs),a tall, ladder thing will rise out of the
ground, climb in and there is a hook, grapple it and swing to Zeus’s hand. Turn the crank 360 degrees anti-clockwise,and while turning it the ladder will
rotate and sink into the ground, then stairs will show up around the hole the ladder sunk into. Go all the way in and u will see a shovel. Take it and u can
play as Zeus in the Combat Arena.
Hope this helps!!!
