I. OBJECTIVE
a. To explain what is the meaning of work
b. To formulate work done by force

a. Main topic: Work, Energy and Power
Sub topic: Work

c. Instructional Materials: Power Point Presentation, Laptop, Projector, Worksheet
Whiteboard and Whiteboard Marker
III. PROCEDURES
a. Preliminaries
1. Teacher opens the class and checks student’s attendance
2. Teacher recalls the previous lesson material about the meaning of motion
b. Lesson Proper
1. Motivation
1.1 Teacher will call 4 students that will demonstrate the four scenarios (2
are example of work and 2 are not)
1. Push against the wall with your hand
2. Hold two books for 10 seconds
3. Push the chair across the floor
4. Lift a light object 3 times
1.2 Teacher tells them after watching the four scenarios, they will have a
better idea of what work is.
1.3 Teacher brings the class back for discussion, have them share their
findings. Give them a hint that 2 of the stations were examples of work
and the other 2 aren’t work.
1.4 Teacher will call a volunteer to write their answer on the board

2.3 Learning Process:
After the motivation, teacher will reveal the definition and formula
of work and let the students tells which scenarios are example of
work and which one aren’t
Teacher gives a lecture accompanied by a question-answer back to
reveal knowledge about work and explains the purposes of this
lesson
c. Activity
1. Teacher divides students into some groups (each group consists of 4 students)
2. Teacher asks each groups’ representative to take worksheet
3. Teacher leads the students to do discussion with their own group
4. Teacher asks students to present their discussion in front of the class
d. Generalization
The teacher will ask the students what are lessons they learned for the day
IV. EVALUATION
Problem Solving (3 items)
V. ASSIGNMENT
In one whole sheet of yellow paper, discuss the following:
1. Energy
2. Kinds of energy
3. Sources of energy
4. Law of conservation of energy
