SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES

4.1. Description of First Aid Measures

If inhaled: Remove to fresh air. If nitrous fumes have been inhaled, rest the patient in fresh air and
keep warm. Administer oxygen if necessary.
In case of eye contact: Promptly wash eyes with lots of water while lifting the eye lids. Continue to
rise for water at least 15 minutes and get medical attention.
In case of skin contact: Remove affected person from source of contamination. Promptly remove
clothing if soaked through and flush skin with water.
If ingested: Do not feed anything through mouth while victim still unconscious. If swallowed: do
NOT induce vomiting. Promptly let affected drink lots of water to dilute the swallowed chemical.
4.2 Most Important Symptoms and Effect Both Acute and Delayed
Inhalation: Cough. Sore throat.
Eye contact: Redness.
Skin contact: Not applicable
Ingestion: Abdominal pain. Blue lips, fingernails and skin. Confusion. Convulsions. Dizziness.
Headache. Nausea. Unconsciousness.
5.1 Indication of Any Immediate Medical Attention and Special Treatment Needed
If concerned or irritation persists, get medical attention/advice immediately.

SECTION 5: FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

5.1. Extinguishing Media

Flammability of the product: Not combustible but enhances combustion of other substances. In case
of fire in the surroundings, use appropriate extinguishing media.
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray
5.2 Specific Hazards Arising from the Chemical
Severe explosion hazard when vapours are exposed to flames. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or
gases) in a fire. May decompose very toxic gases/vapour/fumes of nitrous gases (Nox) oxides of
nitrogen.
