Identifying Home Disasters and their Risks

I. Short Description of My Home

I reside at St. Joseph Village Subdivision, Barangay Darasa, Tanauan City,

Batangas. Our subdivision is small, most of the houses are situated apart from each
other, and most of our surroundings are filled with vegetable gardens and trees. My
house specifically is between a abandoned property filled with grass and trees and our
neighbour’s vegetable garden. The subdivision also has a slope-like shape so there will
be houses in the upper areas while some will be downhill. The most common disasters
we encounter are floods and some earthquakes. We are also within the 17-18 kilometer
radius danger zone from the Taal Volcano.
