    MELC: Use plural form of regular nouns by adding /s/ or /es/ (e.g.,dog, dogs; wish, wishes)
    Review: Everything that we see are nouns. Nouns are name of persons, things,
    animals, places and events. There are two kinds of nouns, common
    noun and proper noun.
    Remember: When nouns are expressed more or greater than one in number this called Plural
    form. We make the plural form of regular nouns by adding –s or-es.
    Nouns ending with s, sh, ch, x form its plural by adding –es. Learning about plural
    nouns will help you better understand how they are formed as well as how we can use it in our
    everyday life.
    Example:

    A. book in English B. books in the library

    How many books are in picture A? There is only one. How about the books in
    picture B? There are two or more books in picture B. In picture A, it is in a singular noun. In
    picture B, you can see that there is –s at the end of it. It is called plural noun. In forming most
    nouns in plural form, we simply add –s or –es
    for regular nouns. Given the example above, we form the plural of book by just
    adding –s. But for word ending in s, sh, ch, or x, we add –es to make them plural form. Another
    examples: girl – girls balloon – balloons fox -foxes
    table –tables ash – ashes box – boxes

    Pre-test: Match each noun in column A with its picture in column B.

    Activity # 1: Choose the correct plural form of regular nouns. Encircle the correct answer
    inside the box.

    Activity # 2: Make each word plural by adding –s or –es at the end.

    Generalization: We make the plural form of regular nouns by adding –s or –es.


    Nouns ending with s, sh, ch, x form its plural by adding –es.

    Post test: Fill the blanks in each sentence with its plural form.
