Steps
2. Click Transcription.
4. Choose the same shortcuts as the ones on your foot pedal, and click OK. Also, you can use RESET
button to use the short keys of your choice.
5. After setting up the foot pedal, transcribe the first 10 segments of the audio file to test out the foot
pedal functionalities during your transcription.
7. Select the option ‘I agree with these terms’ and click Finish button. Now you need to set the
options on the below screen.
8. Click Options.
9. Select the option VEC Infinity USB Pedals and click OK. Now you will see your foot pedal is enabled.
Note: You should be using a USB foot pedal for this option.
10. Now go to e2f Transcription module and click the keyboard icon to set the default shortcut
keys:
11. You get the above pop-up screen when you click the keyboard icon. You can see that there are
already short keys available as default. You can use the same short keys in your Pedable software or
else you can simply reset them by clicking the RESET button and add short keys of your choice.
12. Double click the Left option to set your Rewind button for foot pedal.
13. Click the option Send Key Combination and click Next.
14. Enter Ctrl+Shift+Left Arrow and click Finish. Now your left pedal is set for rewind. You can click the
left foot pedal button to rewind.
15. Now double click Center to set your Play/Pause for foot pedal.
16. Select the option Send Key Combination and click Next.
17. Enter short keys, Control + Space for example, which is the default short key for play/pause in e2f
platform. Now click the button Finish.
Now you are all set for transcribing your file with foot pedal!
