Assessment 5

1. What do you need to work on in order to become a more effective managerial

leader?
- To do so effectively, he contends, we must first develop a deep

understanding of ourselves – our strengths and weaknesses, how we learn,

how we collaborate with others, our beliefs, and how we work best. We

can only position ourselves where we can make the most contribution if

we have this understanding, which is also referred to as self-awareness.

Say "self-awareness"? Is there a single, core self in each of us? Yes and no

are the answers. . Some of these elements will be more authentic or natural

than others, and knowing them will help you become more aware of

yourself on a conscious level. You can already assume that you are self-

aware. On the other hand, you might sometimes wonder why you behaved

or felt the way you did in those circumstances. You can gain greater control

over your actions by constantly increasing your self-awareness. This, in

turn, will enhance how you interact with others, such as when coaching,

providing feedback, assessing results, and resolving issues.

- Many managers tend to want to be good leaders, but only a few have

described what success means to them. Taking the time to visualize

yourself as the type of leader you want to be will help you concentrate

your leadership training and set specific goals and plans.

2. Reflection as a learning technique

a. Identify a co-worker with whom you have frequent interaction and with

whom you would like to improve your relationship.

- As a business leader, don't leave workplace interactions to chance. Take the

time and energy to help everyone in the organization develop the skills for

positive interactions, whenever possible. These are relationships between

co-workers, managers and staff, and employees with the public. Positive

interactions increase good feelings, increase morale and improve work

satisfaction. Negative interactions create confusion, anxiety, tension and

uncertainty, which adversely affect work efficiency and company

productivity.

- Right now, I work in a small business but only work once or twice in a week

for the reason I am student. I have a co-worker who is different from my

personalities; everything I don’t like is what he does, so we can’t get along

even though we always work together. So the problem is if we always not

work as a team they nothing can be done properly. So I want to improve to

my co worker is team up and I have to do an excellent job with my work in

order to build strong ties with my coworkers. So, do an excellent job

at work. Consider it a prerequisite for building strong relationships with my

coworkers.

b. Now think about one or two significant incidents that have recently

occurred between you. Any significant incident(s) from which you can

draw conclusions can provide you with an insight into your behaviour.

Try to recall your feelings, thoughts and ideas, action-tendencies and

behaviors. Note them down below.

appreciation?

a. What would you say are your strengths as a leader?

- Right now yes as long I do my job/task. But believe I myself I am lacking in

knowledge about what is leader.

b. Now think of two different people that you work with in a leadership

role. To what extent do you adapt your leadership style to each

personality? Is your approach effective?

“Leadership style” is a person’s unique way of influencing others to work toward goals.

Every time he gives advice or motivation that you can do even its harder and fastest with

good results. For me this is effective for the reason you finish the task and help to

yourself to improve and new knowledge from your leader. Developing your leadership

skills enables you to respond quickly to both threats and opportunities. By recognizing

when to use each style appropriately, you maximize your chances for success and long-

term achievement. You also enable the growth and development of your subordinates as

well as the company as a whole. Develop your leadership skills by getting the training,

mentoring and experience you need to manage your team. On a daily basis, adapt your

leadership style based, on the situation at hand, to you ensure that you make the best

use of the available resources, tools and techniques to generate a positive outcome.

- The factors that affect my leadership style is how to motivate or inspiring

other people even you cannot experience the situation that face right now/

facing the problem or challenges.

results Focus on development and help

the start and reach moon/goal.

e. What should you do more of? What should you do less of?

- The more I do is to learn from mistake and stop learning. Learning is the start

of your success from the learning to can know what you are doing/manage if

you are in trouble/problem. The less I can do is repeated mistake.
