Physical Resource Management
These are the tangible resources which will easily be seen and observed in any institution.
The physical resources include the structure, the machines, raw materials, vehicles, and other
tools, which may facilitate organizations activities and processes. The physical resources might
not be the identical all told organization. In educational system, the physical resources would
come with the classrooms/lecture rooms, staff offices, vehicles, health centers, library,
laboratory, and so on, which directly or indirectly contribute to the achievement of goals.
Physical Resources are the Equipment, Materials, Supplies, Facilities, and Infrastructure
that are utilized by your project, or become a component of your project deliverable. Physical
Resources are different from the Human Resource.
We can clearly say that the physical resources at school are of great importance.
it's necessary for each school to possess the below lists of physical resources at school.
Site of land:
5. There should be a platform and a table placed before of the classroom. Besides, there should
be a blackboard with big in size at the front wall for the effective use of the teacher.
6. In every classroom, there should be a shelf, almirah, cupboard, etc. In order that the teacher
can keep necessary teaching aids and materials.
Science Laboratory:
2. There should be proper seating arrangements for the scholars inside the laboratory in order
that the teacher may give necessary instruction to them on their work.
3. There should be a daily supply of gas, water, and electricity to the space.
5. There should be a table to perform laboratory work with running water taps and gas lines with
burner and therefore the basins.
6. There should be a briefing for almirah, shelf, etc. To stay the costly apparatus, models, and
chemicals safely inside the laboratory.
7. Further, there should be a laboratory assistant to stay a record of the stock of materials and to
require proper care of them.
Library:
Other physical resources at school are the library. The Library of a school is
also described as a silent teacher for the scholars. Modern education has not only become child-
centered but library centered too. Within the method of self-learning, the library plays a big role
for the scholars. Students may head to the library, collect necessary information, make analysis,
and verify their knowledge acquired.
A creative library may act as a strong motivating force for higher studies and research. It
creates an instinctive tendency to understand and develops reading habit within the students.
Keeping in sight of the wants of the library, one should remember the subsequent points
while fixing a library:
5. Together with the textbooks and reference books, the library should collect current journals,
magazines, newspapers and display them systematically for the scholars.
7. The library and also the room should display pictures of famous writers and scientists on the
convenient places of the walls to form true more impressive.

Museum:
2. It should be divided into various sections as art and craft, science, history, social studies,
geography, photography, and student collection.
3. The objects collected within the museum should be methodically sorted out and classified for
his or her exhibition.
4. The exhibits should be clean and in safe custody free from dust.
5. The materials collected by the scholars should be exhibited at a particular corner of the area.
Shortage of Funds:
Political Issues:
School personnel could misuse the physical and material facilities within the school
either intentionally, ignorantly or because of lack of technical knowhow. There could even
be neglect and overuse of school facilities thanks to improper planning.
