1.Who did you work with and what did you originally set out to learn?
Yes I did originally learn what I wanted to learn from Ms.Droscoski and much
more she invited me to the courtroom and It was really cool that she did that especially
for a case like that. I understood perfectly on why that guy was in jail and sentenced for
another few years. I went through something similar to what happened to the victim but
my mentor doesn't know that
2. What kinds of tasks and activities did you accomplish through your mentorship?
The task From Ms. Droscoski was to talk to her friend who was a Public Defense
Attorney . She also invited me to one of her Court Cases, which was cool. For Mr.Hamilton
We talked about the CSI program and I am probably going to talk to CSI Worker, FBI
agent and a CIA agent as well.
3. How often did you meet with your mentor and what did you talk about?
Ms. Droscoski And I would meet every Tuesday. But now we don't since she
stopped being my mentor . For my new mentor Mr. Hamilton I we don't really know
when we are going to meet but we met on monday and were going to meet on tuesday
the next day but had to cancel because he was doing a case. We talked about my
Interview Questions with both and I talked to Ms. D about her court cases and how I was
doing with my project and With Mr.H we talked about his CSI program that he is working
on and talking about if I can ever come down to the Department to meet the other
Detectives and The FBI and CIA agents .
4.What is your number one takeaway from your mentorship experience? (i.e., something you
learned that really stands out and changed your perspective in some way)
My number one takeaway is that How a lot of the detectives I have met either talk about
social media, Bank Accounts , and credit scores and they all have given me great advice
for all that .
5.How did you use and expand your 21st Century Skills? Choose at least three to reflect on.
Information skills: I had to use my informations skills to show my mentors that I just
needed the information needed from what my questions are asking because I have been
researching their jobs before I started my mentorship
Communication skills are used to communicate with my teachers when I need help and
when I need to talk to my mentors as well.
Solving and problem solving skills I used this skill for when I have internet problems and
when I lost my mentor and had no back up plan for that .
6.How did you meet your personal mentorship goals (refer to the goals you outlined in your
setup form)? If you did not meet them, why didn’t you accomplish what you had hoped?
I Think I accomplished all of my mentorship goals because I have learned so much from
all of the different detectives in these different departments. And Then With Mrs.
Droscoski I have learned that it is very very important to stay with you appointments and
Yes I understand that now that some of the detectives I was supposed to meet this week
canceled on me at the last minute but because of work related things which I
understand completely.
To always be on time with you meetings even if you are very tired
9.How and why has this experience helped to prepare you for life after high school?
This experience has helped me by being More organized with my meetings in order to
stay with the meeting times. This has helped me prepare for life after high school
because if I were to want to be a immigration Lawyer I would have to stay with my
schedule and with my meeting times and have to be their early get their case out and
then get everything prepared for the meeting with that specific person.
