I plan to teach Elementary Education in an impoverished area either here in the United States or abroad
in other countries. I am an Elementary Education (PK-4) major and Spanish minor at Geneva College.

EXPERIENCE

JANUARY 2021-MAY 2021

Student teaching, Beaver County Christian School and New Brighton ELementary
I have worked with Beaver County Christian School since September of 2020. I teach fourth
grade and am slowly trying to pick up subjects as I go. I have consistently taught Bible and Math
while also doing work such as grading, implementing a class-wide reward system, and bringing
the students to and from specials. This next semester (Spring 2021), I will be teaching all
subjects. I have learned many things from this placement about teaching, including to be flexible
and to adapt lessons to my students’ needs.

JUNE 2017-AUGUST 2017

RUNNER, DAIRY QUEEN
Delivering food to customers, cleaning tables, cleaning the main dining area. I also worked the
drive-thru.

JUNE 2018-AUGUST 2018

CASHIER (PART-TIME CREW), BURGER KING
I worked on being a cashier up front at Burger King while also cleaning the dining room,
restocking assorted items, and lining the trays for the main dining area. This job taught me the
fast pace of working in a restaurant.

JUNE 2018-MARCH 2019

CASHIER (PART-TIME CREW), WENDY’S
I did the first drive-thru window taking cash, and in the meantime cleaned dishes and the dining
room. I enjoyed connecting with my customers and cleaning the dishes.

OCTOBER 2017-FEBRUARY 2020

SERVER, ALEXANDER DINING HALL
I worked in the main dining area (cafeteria), serving food at different stations to students. I
usually worked Habaneros (Mexican), To-Order (where I had to combine pre-made ingredients
into a pan), and Subzone (making sandwiches) depending on where I am scheduled. I served
food and cleaned my station. On Saturdays I cleaned up after breakfast and lunch. I also worked
other days I was not scheduled for when coworkers needed me.

JANUARY 2020-MAY 2020

PHONATHON, PHONE CALLER
Phonathon works for Geneva College calling alumni and staff members to thank them for giving
to the college and to ask for current donations. We were given a script and while we were
expected to follow it, we were also encouraged to be original. This job taught me customer
service skills that will serve me into my teaching career.

MAY 2019-PRESENT
PART-TIME CREW, WENDY’S
I work normally as the cash window (back cash in drive-thru) while also doing fries, order-taker,
or front counter. It is my job to help out the first window when I am not occupied and prep my
station in between rushes. I have learned to make the best possible use of my time and to be
focused while on the clock.

EDUCATION
JUNE 2017
GRADUATED, EAST WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL
I had a 3.66 GPA and learned many valuable things from knowledgeable teachers. I took Honors
and AP courses, and mostly received High Honors and Honors awards, as I could devote all my
time to my studies. I ranked 7th out of 68 students.

AUGUST 2017-PRESENT

ACTIVITIES
National Honors Society
10/2016-6/2017

I was inducted into the National Honors Society at my school and completed a service project towards
my community: building a Veterans Memorial. I had a bake sale at my local grocery store and donated
the money towards the project.

Lions Club/Leo Club

10/2016-6/2017

I also was in the Leo Club in my town. We helped at various locations, such as a Turkey Shoot at a gun
range, and at a nursing home where we helped serve breakfast and complete crafts for the residents
and visitors.

The Hartford Project

7/2014-7/2014; 7/2015-7-2015

The Hartford Project is a Missions trip sponsored by local churches around Connecticut. Students go into
the city for four days to reach the citizens and learn to share and experience God’s love. Students help at
various organizations around the city and (through project administrators) help plan events such as a
family-friendly celebration on one street, and Love Wins, a festival for any citizen to attend. Students
serve the city and are ministered to in return.

Blood Drives
2016-2019

When the Red Cross comes to my schools, I will donate blood to help with the urgent need. I began
volunteering late into my junior year or senior year of high school and plan to continue throughout
college.

Poetry Out Loud

2014-2017

3
A poetry recitation competition at my high school which first begins in the classroom, then at the school-
wide, statewide, and nationwide levels. I only got to the schoolwide competition all four years.

Youth Group
2014-2017

I was heavily involved in my church Youth Group on Friday nights to hear Christian teaching and
fellowship with others.

Dessert and Devotions

2017-2018

A Reformed Presbyterian family in the town where I attend college hosts a Psalm-sing as well as dessert
for any college student who is interested. We have a time of fellowship, singing, and prayer. I attended
these on Tuesday nights when I could.

Produce to People
2017

Produce to People gives food to the families of Beaver Falls at no cost to them. I went to this event on
Saturdays (twice throughout Fall Semester) with the First Year Honors Program Students. I gave away
various food items (fruit in bags or canned goods, for example) to each family depending on the number
of tickets a person had. We volunteered at the Beaver Falls High School.

Geneva College Theater

2019-present

In November, I was the main antagonist in a play done for 24-hour theatre. I love acting and have tried
out for many plays including Tuck Everlasting, One Acts, and the Chronicles of Narnia. However, I have
been personally told that I was turned down because I was always busy on the nights when they needed
to practice. I am remedying this through writing a play for One Acts and trying to participate in Geneva
College Film Fest (in which students make short films and we have an awards ceremony). Theater and
acting are my passions and I want to continue doing them long after I leave Geneva.

Vacation Bible School Leader

2015; 2019

In 2015, I got to lead VBS as the main dance leader at a Baptist church. This taught me to have fun with
students and to try to lead them in the best way I could and to be a good example for them. I also
helped VBS again at the Immaculate Conception Church in Rhode Island where I lead dance in the
morning and Adoration, as well as helped with snacks. I was only able to do this for an hour due to my
work schedule.

Church choir member

2019-present
At my home church (St. John the Evangelist Orthodox Church), choir is on a volunteer basis and for
people who range from no musical ability to high musical ability. I am currently learning to read music
and am trying to perform to the best of my ability (I stopped doing choir in high school) and love serving
and participating in the Divine Liturgy.
