Sub: National Cadet Corps (NCC) Cadet Enrolment Drive – 2020-21 - Reg.
As you are aware, the University is in the process of setting-up of NCC Unit/s (Army)
(One Male unit and One Female Unit). Students desirous of enrolling to either the male or
female unit may apply in the attached prescribed format Appendix A (enclosed) and also fill
the information on the following provided google link below:

Those students should also fill the indemnity form given at Appendix B (enclosed).
Further, the application should be verified by the Medical officer of the University.
The duly filled in application with complete details should be upload in PDF format on
the provided link and hard copy of the same be submitted either personally or through post
to the following address: E-209, E-Block, GGSIP University, Sector-16C, Dwarka, New
Delhi-110078 for further processing as per NCC Handbook.
The „Aims‟ of the NCC laid out in 1988 have stood the test of time and continue to
meet the requirements expected of it in the current socio–economic scenario of the country.
The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit
of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at
creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks
of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the
NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed
forces.
The need for having motto for the Corps was discussed in the 11th Central Advisory
Committee (CAC) meeting held on 11 Aug 1978. The mottos suggested were “Duty and
Discipline”; “Duty, Unity and Discipline”; “Duty and Unity”; “Unity and Discipline”. The final
decision for selection of “Unity and Discipline” as motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th
CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.
Note-1: Any Student who has already registered/ submitted the filled application may
explain to their friends about the benefits of enrolling and help in their enrolment
process on the link provided.
Note-2: It is requested to all Deans/ Directors/ Principals (USS & Affiliated Colleges),
please encourage the students to join NCC and become a disciplined human being &
serve the Society and the Nation too.

part of them is false and that I am willing to fulfill the engagement made.
2. I promise that I will honestly and faithfully serve my country and abide by the Rules &
Regulations of the National Cadet Corps that I will, to the best my ability, attend all parades and
camps as may be required by the Commanding Officer from time to time
3. I further promise that after enrolment, I will have no claim on authorities for any
compensation in the event of injury or death due to accident during training camps, courses,
traveling and while on YEP or any other such NCC events like RDC and IDC. I understand I
have no service liability.
