activity/task.

 Solving a Problem- Critical thinking and problem solving are important skills that
need to be sharpened and developed by the learners. This helps the students
become independent thinkers.
 Completing an Inquiry- an inquiry task is one in which the students are asked to
collect data in order to understand about a topic or issue. Example: are science
investigation, research based activities.
 Determining a position- the task requires students to make decision clarify a
position. Related activities or debate are one of the example.
 Demonstration task- This task shows how the students use knowledge and
skills to complete well-defined complex tasks. Examples: demonstrating steps or
procedures in cooking, explaining earthquake safety procedures.
 Developing exhibits- Exhibits are visual presentations or displays that need little
or no explanation from the creators. Classroom applications include exhibit of
best works, picture or paintings, projects.
 Presentation Task- This is a work or task performed in front of an audience.
Storytelling, singing and dancing, musical play or theatrical acting are examples
of presentation task.
 Capstone performances- these are tasks that occur at the end of a program
study. These tasks include research paper, practice teaching, internship or on-
the-job training.

TASK 3
Directions: Watch the video clip and answer the questions that follow:
Authentic Assessment Video

1. Describe how the teachers in the video deliver the lessons to students.
As I observe the teacher use one of the type of performance task, which is the
presentation task. The teacher ask question first and discuss about the real-world
application of the lesson were built into the learning target.

2. Cite three (3) example of performance task you observe in the video.
o Demonstrations giving students opportunities to show their mastery of
subject-area content and procedures.
o Discussion
o Oral presentation

3. Explain how the teachers assess students learning.

The teacher integrating authentic assessment, a type of assessment that measures
student learning according to the application of skills during the performance of a
real-world to ask. Letting student demonstrate knowledge.
Authentic Assessment that must be challenging bring on the rigor, second the
outcome should be a performance of some type of finished product, third it must
encourage learners to apply knowledge to real-world situations, fourth it must
encourage students to monitor their own learning through self-evaluation and lastly
it must provide an opportunity for students to collaborate together discuss and
receive feedback on their work.
