Wedding Planner Timeline List

Wedding planner
18-12 months before

 1.After asking people to stand up with you. Coordinate wedding date with church of ceremony
location
 2.Chooose efficient or wedding celebrant, and investigate any premarital required consultation
 3.Interview wedding coordinator/consultant and decide their level of involvement
 4.Decide the style/theme of your wedding ( formal, fantasy, holiday, etc.…) , color scheme of wedding
and size of celebration
 5.Begin invitation guest list for both sides of families
 6.Decied on wedding budget and stick to it! Also who will contribute to which wedding expenses
 7.Interview and inspect several reception facilities personally
 8.Interview and inspect several licensed catering and beverage facilities
 9.Interview, review work and compare professional and/or photographers or videographers personally
before choosing.
 10.Begin the process of choosing wedding gown that you feel best in, not what other people think you
should
 11.begin process of bridesmaid attire and what would look best on everyone
 12.Interview floral director/designer and decide on in-season flowers
 13.Interview and inspect several entertainment companies and choose on sound system or live band
 14.Decide on ceremony music and speak with musicians to explain the style of wedding
 15.Talk with stylist about possible hairstyles and color or perm appointments needed, also choose nail
services and spa services,
 16.Select date for styling for newspaper photo
 17.See to it that groom is booking for honeymoons if passport is needed

12-9 months before wedding

 1.Order wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses, also schedule appointment for fitting
 2. Schedule all appointments with salon/spa on wedding date and any preceding appointments
 3.Hire ceremony musicians and reception entertainment companies
 4.Check into a baker for wedding cake. Make sure you taste test cakes.
 5.Decide on any additional decorations such as balloons, ice sculptures, special lighting, desert table,
etc.…
 6.Shop for wedding rings
 7. Send engagement announcements or "hold this" date wedding cards ( date is more than 1 year away
still)
 8.Go to personal stylist for preparation to have newspaper photo taken and sent to local paper
 9.Begin process of designing wedding announcements
 10.Register at stores boutiques, specialty stores, travel agent, shopping malls, bridal registries

9-6 months

 1.Choose baker for wedding cake


 2.First fitting for gown
 3.Order wedding announcements and personalized thank you cards or personalized stationary
 4.Choose wedding day transportation for bridal party and out of town guests
 5.Choose type of hairstyle with highlights or color etc.…at preliminary salon appointment
 6.Shop for wedding guest favors and bridal parity gifts
 7.Write your vows
 8.Select tuxedos from groom, groomsman, fathers, and ring bearers
 9.Cponclude music list for ceremony and reception
 10.Make sure mothers are shopping for their gowns and help them coordinate their looks
 11.Prepare and sign nay contracts with rental companies for needed supplies for ceremony and
reception
 12.Choose rehearsal location
 13.Inquire about license requirements with county courthouse
 14.Finalize guest list
 15.Review honeymoon plans

3-1 months

 1.Mail announcements
 2. See stylist at pre scheduled appointments to work with veil
 3.Talk with officiate to finalize vows and any premarital consultations
 4.Book rehearsal dinner site if not already done and choose dinner choices. Invite photographer and/or
videographer
 5.Complete requirements for marriage license
 6.Revisit all organizations involved for final details and energency plans
 7.Make sure runner will be correct length for florist or rental company
 8.Order wedding accessories, guest book, pen, unity candle, ring bearer pillow, programs, garter, etc.

 9.Final fitting for bridal gown bridesmaids dresses, make sure gowns are steamed or pressed

2-weeks before

 1.Cintact guests that failed to respond


 2.Give final count to reception facility and/or caterer
 3.reconfirm rehearsal time
 4.Ask a family member to attend to last minute little details , rolling up runner after ceremony, attend
gust book and gift location
 5.Discuss with photographer a list of special events or people to be highlights during ceremony and
reception you want captured on film
 6.Attend last salon appointment for try a facial or massage to help you stay relaxed
 7.Confirm honey moon travel plans begin packing for honeymoon
 8.Begin Address and name change (social security office near you)
 9.Make arrangements to pick up wedding gown or have it stored
 10.Finish writing thank yous for shower gifts

1week prior

 1.Breath you are almost there


 2.Make sue you have marriage license
 3.Write out checks to officiate, ceremony musicians
 4.confirm balance due with each company involved
 5.Finnish honeymoon packing
 6.Order travelers checks finalize seating plan and place cards
 7.Meet with ceremony announcer on pronunciation of names and sequence
 8.Write out wedding day schedule
 9.Confirm transportation on wedding day and review schedule with driver
 10.Wedding rehearsal and dinner
 11.Give bridal party gifts at rehearsal dinner

Wedding Day

 1.Sleep in and relax


 2.Eat breakfast and enjoy day
 3.Have someone take an invitation to post office to have it postmarked as a keepsake
 4.Go to salon and have a good time with bridesmaids having hair and makeup done. Eve try a short
massage all your planning is paying off
 5.Make sure everyone is dressed in time for photo session before wedding
 6.Have ushers and groomsmen at the church at least one hour before ceremony. The time is getting
closer!
 7.Send a love not to your fiancee' via a groomsman from the back of the church
 8.The grooms parents are second to last to be seated
 9.The brides mother is to be seated last before ceremony
 10.Have two usher/groomsmen roll out runner
 11.Take your position with your father or whoever is giving you away
 12."Here comes the bride…"
