4.0 COVER / FRONT PAGE (See latest QCD cover/front page sample for reference)
4.1) Drawing index with corresponding paper size and scale must be provided clearly and
consistent with each page of the drawings.
4.2) Area statement of every floor, level, room, area and/or occupancy.

5.0 SITE PLAN, Scaled to fit to A0 or A1 size drawing sheet and shall indicate the following:
5.1) Means of access to the site and to the perimeter of each building showing the location of
the fire alarm control panel and/or conduit/junction boxes outside the building (e.g. substation
or generator room, etc.)
5.2) For multiple buildings being served by a main fire alarm control panel, external cable
routing with supervising station shall be shown in the site plan. For stand alone, declaration on
the location of the fire alarm control unit/panel.
5.3) Grid Line References (x, y) and shall be same with other floor plan drawings.
6.0 FLOOR PLANS (BASEMENT/S, GROUND, MEZZANINE, TYPICAL FLOORS, ROOF/SERVICE FLOOR)
6.1) Provision for alarm initiating/notification/indicating devices complete with wiring/conduit
and labels to have consistency with the fire alarm schematic diagram.
6.2) Interfacing modules shall be properly identified/labeled for mechanical ventilation,
firefighting and related emergency service purpose.
6.3) Conduit layout shall show the starting-ending points and location of the up-feed / down-
feed risers from-to the fire alarm control panel. Pathway/conduit risers for fire alarm & detection
system (FDAS) / Emergency Communication System (ECS) / Mass Notification System (MNS) &
Emergency Central Battery System (CBS) shall be indicated on plan layout.
6.4) Location of the audible / visible notification devices except/excluding those inside the
staircase and at exit doors (visual/audible impairment hazard) shall be show in all common
area/room, floors and/or each room/areas (as applicable on occupancy use).
6.5) Where emergency / two-way communication is required. Two way fire telephone shall be
provided on the following locations as per NFPA 72 (each floor level, each notification zone,
elevator lobbies, elevator machine room, EPS room, fire pump room, on each stairway level, each
elevator cab as required by NFPA 72) where applicable.
7.0 SECTIONAL DRAWINGS Scaled to fit an A0 or A1 drawing sheet and shall indicate the following:
7.1) Full height of each floor/storey and the depth of void spaces (raised floor/ceiling void)
relative to Level of Exit Discharge (LED) showing the fire alarm devices. Declare anticipated
existing conditions on any void space as per Chapter 17 of NFPA 72.
7.2) Where no ceilings (exposed) / or waffle type ceilings / joist / sloping / or other special ceilings
configurations are applicable to the project. Designer should coordinate with architect, or other
discipline, these factors should be included into consideration for location/spacing of detectors
in accordance to NFPA 72.

9.0 FIRE COMMAND CENTER / FIRE PUMP ROOMS / GENERATOR ROOMS (IF PROVIDED)
9.1) Location of the Main Fire Alarm Control Unit/Panel, Main Indicating Mimic (Graphic
Annunciation) Panel, Two-way Fire Telephone Communication Systems, Mass Notification
(Public Address) System and related fire emergency systems.
9.2) Heat detector shall be provided in fire pump room if there is a diesel driven fire pump; fire
telephone directly connected to the Fire Command Center or near the fire alarm control panel.
9.3) Provide blow up drawings for fire command and generator rooms reflecting FACP, panels
and all necessary Fire alarm system equipment.
12 CALCULATION REPORTS
12.1) Battery Load Calculation of all the alarm initiating-indicating devices to verify fire alarm
control panel capacity.
12.2) Provide calculation for audible and visible rating of devices.
12.3) Provide lux calculation for illumination requirements of emergency lighting system for exit
access and staircase per NFPA 101.
