Question #1: What is the difference between port and dock?
Answer: A Dock is for mooring ships for cargo or passenger exchange, or sometimes
repair. A Port is a facility for receiving ships and transferring cargo.
Answer: Ports constitute an important economic activity in coastal areas. Ports are also
important for the support of economic activities in the hinterlands since they act as a
crucial connection between sea and land transport. As a supplier of job, Port are not
only to serve an economic but also a social function.
Answer: The largest Port in the world is located in Shanghai, China. The Port of
Shanghai, located in the vicinity of Shanghai, comprises a deep-sea port and a river
port. In 2010, Shanghai port overtook the Port of Singapore to become the world's
busiest container port. Shanghai's port handled 29.05 million Twenty-foot equivalent unit
or TEU.
My reflection
First I learned in this activity is what are the two types of questions and this are the
Close-ended questions and Open-ended questions and then I learned more information
about Ports or Dock like where is the largest port and how port useful for the country
etc.
