PRE-CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITES:

• Initial meeting to discuss the project


• Planning the design
• Estimating costs and offering cost-saving options
• Managing project scope
• Identifying potential issues & outlining solutions
• Determine any options for value engineering
• Site selection and study feasibility
• Evaluating soil condition on site
• Checking existing utilities
• Determining equipment required
• Check for green building options and viability
• Completion of working drawings
• Life-cycle analysis
• Outlining contingencies for both client and contractor

ACTIVITIES DURING CONSTRUCTION:

• Project deliverables need to be tested accepted and approved


• Changes to be made in project needs to be checked
• Time Management
• Cost Management
• Quality Management
• Communication management
• Risk management
• Checking two main processes: the executing and the monitoring and
controlling
• Demolition of pre constructed building
• Excavation and foundation
• Brickwork
• Placement of doors and windows
• Finishes
• External works
• Mechanical and electrical installations
POST CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:

• Administrative portion of the contract in which you make sure that you have
all the correct quality control/ quality assurance paperwork in place to prove
that the project was built to specifications.
• Updating of drawings to “as-built” status
• Creation of the Operation and Maintenance manual
• Carrying out testing on the mechanical and electrical (M&E) installations.
