AIM

vibration diagnostics & analysis, FLIR’s reliability in infrared thermography, GE’s XL-VU Video Probe for Borescope
and Fixture Laser in laser Alignment have been engineered from the grounds up, to offer leading-edge in plant
reliability & measurement accuracy.
AEPL Engineering Works (AEW) offers the convenience of Condition Monitoring with precision maintenance tools
from GE’s Bently Nevada& FLIR, Fixture Laser, GE XL-VU Video Probe to support all your plant’s effective
operational maintenance needs.

SCOPE OF WORK
• This contract certifies a liaison between the client & the contractor and both parties shall abide this contract’s
general, technical & commercial terms.
• Contract is subject to revise upon successful completion & mutual satisfaction for further extension.
• Contractor shall visit plant site for as many numbers of days as requested by the Client, for data acquisition,
maintenance services, for the machines advised by the client.
• Vibration data shall be collected of all mentioned equipment in the Horizontal, Demodulation, HFD, Vertical
and Axial vibrations on possible/nearby points as deemed necessary.
• Vibration data shall be analyzed using GE’s Bently Nevada Ascent condition monitoring software for any
possible discrepancy and/or deviation from ideal waveform and any irregular peaks, spikes, fault pattern in
synchronous/non-synchronous & sub-synchronous region of frequency spectrum.
• Cross channel Phase analysis / Critical speeds of machines (Resonance problem) shall also be performed for
in-depth analysis of faulty observed waveform point/s where required as per the discretion of Contractor’s
Services Engineer.
• Recommendations for possible & quantifiable rectification of vibration frequencies& electrical discrepancies
shall be mentioned by the Contractor in the report submitted. These recommendations shall be reliable; i.e.
after execution of recommended job, validation be ensured that the results shall be better if not ideal than prior
to execution of recommended actions.
• Contractor shall visit Client site on “as & when basis” for data acquisition & analysis.

ANALYSIS REPORTS

• Contractor shall inform any requirement for immediate repair work to Client before leaving the plant site.
• Final detailed separate report, including Executive Summary (detail and brief) & reliable Recommendations,
shall be submitted within 07 Days after leaving the site.
• All survey reports shall be submitted to the Client in shape of soft copy only as per EHS standards and to
promote paper less work.

 GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
• Vibration Monitoring & Analysis charges for Special On-call visit shall be claimed at “per day basis”
regardless of the number of equipment checked (limited to, 10 equipment per day).
• Sample movement will be Client’s responsibility in case of Oil analysis. Samples will be sent to AEPL
address.
• In case of turbine analysis, a maximum of 2 days per machine are allocated, if delay occurs from the client
end and no. of days exceed than twice of No. of turbomachinery Equipment, then additional 10,000 PKR
per day will be charged.
• In case of on-call Vibration Monitoring & Analysis, team will be available on minimum 4 hours’ notice for
Chakwal site and 6.5 hours’ notice for Farooqia/Hattar site.
• Balancing/Laser Alignment of equipment for Special On-call visits shall be claimed at “per day basis”
regardless of the number of equipment.
• For regular visit, vibration inspection of 25 equipment and for on call visit inspection of 10 equipment at
maximum will be done in a single day.
• In case of any delays in work completion despite working 8 hours a day for regular Vibration Site visits,
additional day charges will be implemented on the rate same as the service being performed.
• For regular site visit Email/Call notification prior to service should be sent before 48 hours at least.
• Boarding Lodging will be client responsibility.
• Any type of material supply is not covered in above mentioned offer.
• The routine work hours will be 8 hours per day.
• AEW Service Engineer shall be at service for 08 hours each day (including an hour for Lunch & Salah
Break). Any work beyond 08 hours each day shall be considered as Over-time.
• For special days Like Eid Holidays, Muharram Holidays and other public holidays, the service charges
will be 2X of Normal provided rate while the travelling charges will be charged as per actual.
• Client will provide AEW a person which will remove safety covers from the Equipment to be inspected,
whether it is Vibration analysis or Thermography.
• In case of thermography, client will measure and share the value of electrical loads condition on
connections/Equipment as per demand of AEW representative.
• In-Ramadan, AEW Service Engineer shall be at service for 06 hours each day (without any breaks,
other than for Salah). Any work beyond 06 hours each day shall be considered as Over-time.
Over time will be paid to the contractor on account of following reasons.

• Plant machine availability shall be client’s responsibility. If machine is not available due to client’s
operational criterion, delay of issuing of work permit, non-attributed to contractor; the routine day
shall be considered and charged as per actual.
• AEW’s Engineer Names, certificates and Qualifications will be shared with site team before
mobilizing the team.
• AEW’s Engineers will bring “Equipment Calibration Certificates” with them when coming for
inspections on site.
• For Vibration Analysis Report, Trend of Equipment will be shared with the Report which will consist
of previous readings of Survey and up to 8 previous readings can be shared for reference upon
demand of client.
• Client will be responsible for Contractor Engineers’ site safety induction and security.
• Contractor will provide its Engineer for Initial plant visit for marking vibration analysis points which
will be charged as per normal per day charges.

 • Any/all medical/vaccination charges as per government law requirements, in-case of non-provided by
the Client, shall be charged at actual, plus 10%.
• Client will provide Accommodation to AEPL Engineers with proper Air conditioning and other necessary
facilities as per officer class status.
• Client will designate and/or ensure a key site personnel for the co-ordination of the contract
deliverables.
• Client is liable to provide reasonable installation space in their premises for the Contractor’s Service
Engineer to install the Laptop/Equipment.
• Client will provide suitable parking space for Inspection Team Vehicle.
• Client will arrange inspection permit for Contractor Team.
• Client is liable to provide Equipment list consisting of Equipment details (Equipment ID, Names, Bearing
ID, Configuration etc.) for Vibration Analysis and Infrared Thermography initially and 1 week before each
visit if any changes are to be made in the list and also notify about the changes.
• Client will inform at least 24 hours before via email and/or Phone call, if service is required for routine
visit, in case of notifying less than 24 hours before, service will be provided the next working day after
24 hours has passed.
• Client will provide its person for measuring electrical loads, open and/or remove covers for Vibration
Analysis, to assist in identifying equipment.
• Contractor shall comply with site HSE regulations and will bring the mandatory PPE’s along.
• Client will provide detailed drawings of equipment as per demand of contractor for proper
recommendations and to avoid wrong recommendations.

MODE OF TRANSPORTATION

• AEW shall provide necessary transportation of the Service Engineer for the Planned visit and the cost of
transportation shall be borne by the client as per above mention rate.
