When Jose Rizal was a young boy, he liked to go boating. One day, he and his
uncle went boating in Laguna de Bay. One of his slippers fell into the water. Jose
dropped the other slipper. “ Why did you drop the other slipper, Jose?” his uncle asked.
He answered, “If somebody will find one, he cannot use it. If he finds the two slippers, he
can use it.”His uncle said, “You are a very wise boy. You are always thinking of other
